Steve Feinstein’s recent article, “Why American Jews Are Overwhelmingly Liberal,” omitted a crucial part of the story: its conclusion. While I do not take issue with the article’s facts, the truth is that a wave of conservatism, based on religious values, has been deeply cultivated and is robustly emerging on a major scale in the most vibrant and enduring segments of American Jewry.
Studies have demonstrated that America’s secular and mostly liberal Jewish population is shrinking and disappearing, as a result of intermarriage and abandonment of Jewish identity and tradition. Liberal Jewish congregations are dwindling and shutting down, and even seeking non-Jews to join, as there are no longer enough Jews to fill these emptying houses of worship. The same is true with liberal Jewish schools and organizations.
In contrast, the American Orthodox Jewish population is growing, and it is projected that this population, which is politically conservative and which strives to live by biblical values, has strong family units, and adheres to a traditional way of life, will replace the liberal Jewish communities.
The most notable impact on American society of this seismic change will be in the political arena, as Orthodox Jews predominantly vote Republican. Other changes will be seen as well, especially in the areas of support for traditional family values, as Orthodox Jews are pro-life, oppose gay marriage, and support school choice. And on a more recent note, much of the greatest Jewish support for the appointment of Steve Bannon came from the Orthodox Jewish media.

And please keep in mind that we evangelical Christians have your back and we always note that Christ was a Jew. I only speak for my group of followers, though.
Schmucky Schumer better watch out. Part of his base is disappearing!
PING!
The majority of American Jews still voted for Hillary
Maybe she was a Druish Princess. :)
Wow. Do you mind my asking where in the country this happened? (I understand you may not be able to be too specific.)
Orthodox Jews, in addition to being politically conservative, tend to have lots of children, who tend to grow up to be politically conservative Orthodox Jews.
“My nieces Bat Mitzvah speech included her rejection of G-ds existence, earning her applause in the Reformed Congregation-—
Astonishing——and incredibly sad.
Rather than the Mitzvah they might as well have taken everyone to a good movie followed by dinner.

If it now means something else, then WHY read scripture?
“Me: YES! And same for Catholics and Protestants, too”
Most people who admit to now believing in God don’t bother to call themselves Catholic anymore. What’s much more annoying is how many “Catholics” CLAIM to believe in most of what the Church teaches except for...and then they give you a laundry list of all the things they have no problem with such as abortion, gay marriage, etc. ARGH! Just please leave the Church officially!
None of this matters that much because the Jewish vote in most of the nation is minuscule. What DOES matter is their outsized campaign donations to the various parts of the Dem party and their candidates.
And just because someone is no longer labeled “Jewish” or “Liberal Jewish” doesn’t mean their donation habits will necessarily change. What does matter is if wealthy Jews identify with Israel strongly enough to affect their donations and/or their personal values are altered and/or are offended as the Dem party shifts to anti-white, pro-Muslim, Progressive ideologies, anti-family, anti-traditional values of hard work and education and means to advance in society.
Same here and yet if they/muzzies had the chance they’d slit everyone one of our Jewish necks!
Maybe reformed Judaism is a mental illness too:-)
So do the Hasidim...except the ones Hillary bribed.
That's what's always confused me.For years I've been reading that a huge percentage of *American* Jews (haven't seen anything regarding Jews elsewhere in the world) declare themselves to be atheists.Just as surely as the label "atheist Christian" makes no sense to me "atheist Jew" makes no sense as well.
I really don’t understand why this generation is so quick to reject God. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Life is tough enough without thinking in bad times you are on your own.
How can anyone look at this world and think it all happened by accident. Sigh
“This is a load of Schmaltz!”
They serve beer at Bat Mitzvahs?
If I had questioned His existence at my confirmation some nun would have whacked me upside the head.
North East L.A. Basin. Inland Empire, so to speak.
It’s all about the money.
Headline is just more lügenpresse. The numbers don’t support the headline. The tiny minority of Jews that are politically conservative (as opposed to neocon) are just that - a statistical speck.
While we should welcome and support that tiny minority, and appreciate support from them on social issues, we should not buy any propaganda about any change in the the Marxist/Sparticus/Socialist/Democrat mainstream. And we shouldn’t give them a special pass to undermine this country because of something that happened to a distant relative three quarters of a century ago in a country on the other side of the world.
