The early Magnatones were revered for their awesome “Vibrate Oh!” I’ve played some. Good Ry Cooderish sounds. I had to change a cap value in my ‘64 Vibroverb as the Fender “Vibrate Oh!” was just too fast. Perfect on my ‘62 Super though. Talk about “Swampy!”
My greatest fear. There will be at leadt 2 attemps on the Presidents life. He should double the Protective Service presence.
I actually need a new amp, so I am filing these guys under the “do not buy” category.
The TOLERANCE of the left on full display.
What flaming hypocrites. Violent ones as well.
I got a new toy a few months back that digitally models all sorts of amps, pre-amps, and effects combinations. You can plug the guitar into that, then plug that right into a PA (or headphones, computer) and crank out whatever kind of sound you like.
Of course it’s not going to sound 100% authentic to a professional player, but to the average listener, if you tweak the settings right, they will never know the difference - and the price beats the hell out of buying all the different amps you might want to play around with!
I’m normally an analog guy all the way but the digital modeling has gotten so good I just couldn’t resist it anymore.
Where do you get these amplifiers? Dollar General or Family Dollar? Never heard of them.
Ditto. I’ve always used a Fender Tele through an old Twin Reverb.
He should be terminated! It is despicable. I tried to use their email form on their website to send a strong statement, but it does not seem to work.
No mention is made that Rudy's is now located downtown on Broome Street.

I am 71...I got my first electric guitar when I was 12. I played in bands for years, owned quite a few guitars, and amps, but I never heard of “Magnaphone”.
Either it’s relatively new, or of Dollar Store quality...but ot something I’d ever purchase.
Right, supposedly Magnatones had true pitch bending vibrato versus the simpler tremolo of Fender amps that just pulsed the volume. I’ve never played one but have always been curious about them.
It looks like this Kornblum character bought the Magnatone name and started a new company building upmarket amps for the retro-boutique market.

According to Wikipedia the original Magnatone company got started in the ‘30s and closed in the ‘70s.
The Sears brand that people may be thinking of is Silvertone. Quite a few low end oddballs built under that name.
Seize all his assets as an enemy combatant and stupid troll.
They probably have been getting inundated, and so they cut off their network to the outside world. Which is good because then they are not getting questions from their customers either.
Amen... Own 7 of them, all silverface except for my gigging 250-210 Bassman. Can’t afford blackface. 78 Princeton is still my favorite. Not sure how many guitars... One can never have too many guns or guitars! BTW, what’s a Magnatone?
There was a bumper sticker going around Shreveport back in the early ‘80s: “If it Ain’t Waylon, it ain’t Sh__t! Tele thru a Super Reverb
Nope, never have too many! Right now, though, I’m down to the Tele, my Ovation, and an off brand acoustic that sounds better than a 1200 dollar Martin..
That tube Twin is my favorite, too. Although right now, I’m just playing a Champ..
I agree, I use Digitech RP effects modeler..
That’s was a1962 Strat strung upside down..
And that Marshall Stack is nice, too!
