If people had doubts about the Mexican government being influenced and controlled by drug cartels, well, they can put that doubt away.
In a stunning segment on Fareed Zakaria’s CNN broadcast today Mexico’s former foreign minister, Jorge Castaneda, states the Mexican government is willing to counter U.S. President Donald Trump policy by unleashing drug cartels upon the U.S. border.

Mexicans are NOT all that good at fighting wars, IIRC about 50 conquistadors showed up on horseback at what would later be called Mexico City, and Montezuma and the Aztecs surrendered almost immediately! ;)
Drug cartels regularly pummel the US border. This is no counter.
A real counter would be for Mexico to promise, within a reasonable time frame, to destroy all the drug cartels. They won't do that, of course; too many officials and politicians getting rich from cartel payoffs.
Liberals see this as a good thing; as long as they vote the right way...
That’s because they are all White Castilians who rule the Mexican Mestizos and Indios. They have ruled them for centuries.

The Mexican Castilians fear nothing more than their own people figuring them out.
For the past 70 years or so, the USA has been their great relief valve. They send the peons to us and these peons are not plotting against them in Monterrey, San Luis Potosí, Guadalajara and Puebla and a hundred other bastions of Le Revolucion.
The idea that the Mexican Mestizos and Indios would be confined to their own land and foment revolucion against them frightens them to the core.
They’ll pull out all and any stops to prevent that.

This rhetoric from the Mexican government justifies Trump’s need to build that wall - even higher than before. They just admitted they are flooding us with drugs and violence. They outed themselves!
Cool. An outright shooting war will end this bs right quick.
The only reason we haven’t taken out mexican cartels in entirety is because we need Mexico permission to send in the planes (which we have done before on a limited basis).
So if both sides take off the gloves, who do you think will win?
Put some of those nifty monitors that can pick up movement under the earth at regular intervals along the border. Nip that right in the bud.
