Last, the law enforcement executives engaged in this project agreed that it is essential, in order to address gun violence at the national level, to put in place a federal firearms trafficking and straw purchasing law neither of which exist today and comprehensive and universal background checks, which most Americans support

The Great Society is the reason there are so many crimes happening in the cities. Stop paying unwed girls to have babies and the crime rates will decline.

“to put in place a federal firearms trafficking and straw purchasing law neither of which exist today”
That’s news to me/sarc
More wolves in sheep's clothing.
Nothing new here except the name change.
LOL! Yeah, I suppose that could turn some folks off. I noticed your handle/FReeper screen name. You pick a song or two?
There should be a Barf Alert attached to this post.
Hmmmm. So are these these representative of what you play? Or just stuff you like. I do open jams in our area 3 nights a week. One funk, one rock and one blues. Keeps me entertained. Had several offers to join/start a band. Said no. That’s too much commitment. Been there, done that. With the jams, I can go if I want and stay as long as I want. Otherwise it’s a gig. And the bars around here pay what I used to get in high school in the 60’s. DJ’in would pay more. Absurd right? Always liked FootStompin Music. Rock night we do it some times.
It appears the Police Foundation was created by the Ford Foundation to push “Progressive” policies on police.
It looks far from objective to me, at least without a great deal of study. It was founded in 1970, and doesn’t seen to have any actual police in its organization.
The fact that it lists a survey of less than 50 police chiefs out of thousands, shows it is very selective in who it asks questions of.
That it claims two of the most important federal resources for police are ballistic imaging and gun tracing are red flags. Those two resources hardly ever amount to useful things for police, IMHO.
The other thing that stands out is this report is apparently created in partnership with “Major Cities” police chiefs, which are uniformly far left Democrats.
