U.S. green card holders will require additional screening before they can return to the United States, the White House said on Saturday.
Earlier, a Department of Homeland Security official said people holding green cards, making them legal permanent U.S. residents, were included in President Donald Trump's executive action temporarily barring people from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States.

Note, none of the seven countries listed....are Saudi Arabia...which gave 15 of the 19 9-11 attackers. Kinda odd....isn’t it?
President Trump didn’t designate those 7 countries in banning their people from flying to America, former President Obama did!
Epic Is Team Trump Baiting Liberal Media and Refugee Protesters By Using Obamas Own Policy?

Why would the text of President Trumps Executive Order suspending travel visas be readily available on CNN , New York Times, Wall Street Journal , but not on White House page?
I dont think its accidental. The limiting Visa program was President Obamas action, not President Trump. See link below for full story!
Trump didnt ban just Muslims. His order bans all people from Obamas list of 7 terrorist countries
Good, as it should be.
DJT will not back down.
No. He’s dealing with the threat as it exists today, not 15 years ago.
First, there is a difference between actual “green card holders” and what Reuters’ interpretation of what that phrase might mean.
Green card holder ‘returning’ to the US (meaning they obtained one in the US and left briefly and want to return to the US) and an approved Visa to ENTER are two different things.
Green cards are for people who have already entered the US and are here legally. Visas to enter are another thing.
Either Reuters or the administration need to be specific.
Did Obama take his Green Card with him ?
(I've stated this on another thread): True coincidence is rare. Isn't it something that as the US initiates a raid on terrorists in Yemen, non-US citizens from Yemen and some other nearby havens for terrorists are subjected to additional vetting? Why wouldn't there be? If it's known that President Trump is already going after the bad guys, of course there has to be concern that they'll try to get to the US ASAP.
Not only Saudi Arabia, but we need to ban Egypt and Pakistan as well.
It got everybody’s attention, and everybody’s talking about it. The bad guys will find another country to bomb, and that’s how Trump wanted it to come out.
“With Chuck Todd this morning, it did seem that the media is being baited to say MORE countries should be added to the list, beyond those already designated by 0 !”
Isn’t it amazing how Trump gets the mediots and the never Trumpsters to carry his water.
Makes perfect sense when one realizes that most were never properly vetted in the first place.
I read through some of this yesterday, and it does indeed appear that green-card holders who are citizens of those 7 countries are going to experience additional screening if they’re out of the US and trying to return. I don’t know if those already in the US are going to be re-screened.
Then IF they have indeed been here and qualified as Alien Residents, they need to comply with the laws and regulations that go along with foreign travel. It is one of the ways we help to assure our citizens that no hanky panky is going on. This has been in effect (the rules) for a very long time.
This is a far different thing than appending this “green card” nomenclature to a bunch of prospective residents who have never even been here.
They should screen every green card holder writhing the US regardless of traveling or not. They are guests, not citizens, and America can revoke that invitation anytime.
How many Green Card Holders are on teh No Fly List? Any Watch Lists, here or abroad?
I thought it was ironic that in one breath they are crying about the inhumanity of the ban and in the next breath they are advocating that the ban be extended to more countries.
The Saudis are assisting us with air support in Syria.
Sisi is a strong supporter of the US WOT. I believe he’s providing troops in at least one of the wars.
Well, if an Iranian with a green card decides to spend three months in Yemen and then reenter the US, I’m a bit queasy about it. Anyone else?
