Top media figures may not openly acknowledge it, but they're at war with President Donald Trump, whose rhetorical assault on many major media outlets has been undeterred by his ascension to the nation's highest office.
During a Thursday event at New York University titled "Not The New Normal: How The Media Should Cover The Trump Presidency," top media figures from Slate, The Huffington Post, The New Yorker, and Univision ruminated — and at times fretted — over how their outlets planned to proceed in face of a White House that uses its own "alternative facts" and remains actively hostile to the news media.
"This is an emergency," New Yorker editor David Remnick said, repeatedly urging media outlets to "buck up."
"Everything is fragile. Magazines are fragile. Television stations are fragile. NYU may not last until the 400th century, who knows? And it's demanded of us to vouchsafe that which is valuable, and invaluable, and constitutional."
If Trump's frequent, occasionally personal critiques of opponents during the campaign disturbed some reporters, the first days of his presidency were an equally ominous sign that the press would face years of opposition from a president who seems eager to battle for every factual inch.
Reports have indicated that Trump's administration almost immediately set about putting gag orders on several government departments upon taking power, barring them from releasing information to the public and to the press. (White House press secretary Sean Spicer has denied this.)
At the CIA on Saturday, Trump dismissed his feud with the intelligence community as an outcome of his "running war with the media," whom the president dubbed the "most dishonest people on earth." Later the same day, Spicer delivered a terse statement chastising media reports

I actually think it is going to take a few major news organizations to close up shop, before the media learns that it needs to go back to basics and report the news fairly.
The voters of this country figured out that Hillary was a liar and in the Presidency for her own personal financial gain. The voters have also figured out and had documented for them by Wikileaks that the media is a whore to the Democratic party.
That is a lot to try to overcome in establishing a trust relationship, especially when they will not acknowledge the real problem is them not Trump, not alternate facts.
I did over 10 years ago-—no newspapers, no magazines and no TV (but only good DVD’s like Amazing Grace (Wilberforce/Metaxes). I control what I see and hear, and I control my own emotions-—in a rational, REAL way—and do not allow the evil, irrational, immoral psychopathic sodomites to artificially control my emotions and normalize their behaviors and vulgar Weimar Republic attitudes (collective worldview).
As Ray Bradbury stated, the purpose of MSM is to control the Narrative (control our “thinking”), feed us with lies and misinformation, to only addict us and keep us from the Truth (God) and that which is most humanizing and creates true intellectual development and virtue——Real Life human interactions and social clubs with virtuous people and churches and READING the GREAT BOOKS (which includes the Bible). That worldview created the Founders and the Age of Reason and the US Constitution and “Justice” (virtue) System since freedom can’t exist without virtue formation in people which is ONLY done with Classical Christian curricula which John Dewey, the communist, Humanist, threw out in 1930.
The Marxists took over Holllywood and MSM and schools and newspapers and publishing companies in 1930s when Hitler chased them out of Germany. They took over our universities—dumped Christianity, then banned it by the 60s, and tried to get a monopoly on ALL IDEAS (PC
is Mind Control) which they did by the 1960.
They are able to control all our children now (Common Core is world curricula), all their desires and worldview (if parents don’t have any control over them, and allow the “system” to indoctrinated and shape all their ideas/emotions, from Sesame Street on which destroys concentration and integration of the brain (which takes real life experiences (unstructured) for little children so agency can occur and where they are using ALL senses with interaction in nature and with people.
We not only have to quit worrying about what others think of us and speak Truth to Power. We need to turn to God’s Laws again, so that our US ethic system only promotes “public virtue” since it is necessary for freedom. No evil laws promoting baby-killing, sodomy, illegal immigration, theft and slavery (socialism/welfare/Marxism/islam) like our so-called “Justice” system does now. All unjust, evil laws are “null and void” as stated even at Nuremberg, and have to be removed now.
I feel like I am out of the Twilight Zone though, with President Trump. Finally, return of common sense (US Constitution) with a masculine male.......such RARE things in today’s world since the communists have been in charge of skools and Hollywood for so long so they could destroy virtue formation in our little boys and girls and normalize dependency and vice. We are not going to stand for it further, nor will Trump. Keep acting confused and hurt. It will get better when and if you re-discover “journalism” and “integrity” (long shot).
Yes, and I hope that President Trump keeps going directly to the people and continues the end run around them via regular, or dare I hope weekly addresses on youtube or similar, in addition to the regular tweets. Provide people with as much of the real thing as possible so that they can get it without the green media distortion lens.

“Top media figures” are irrelevant. And it will only get worse for them.
..........If Chesty were here today Trump could order him to Chicago with his marching orders to impose martial law and stop and search every male under 50 for weapons and institute no warrant searches on houses with “reasonable suspicion” of having weapons inside.
I really don’t care about the hopeless young punks and perhaps them shooting each other is in the Master Plan God has. But, the young kids, babies, old men and women have a RIGHT in this country to be free from fear...............of being murdered for sitting on the fn porch or walking to the damn store to buy a loaf of bread!
