Let the Commie puke try.

It’s mistake to try to appease the Left. Expose them, end it.

"This is about human beings, families that came here," he said. "I want people to follow the law, I don't think people should violate our borders, but let's face it, this has been a problem in our country for hundreds of years."

First was outrage and indignant defiance. Now it seems he's trying a little wheedling and emotional string-pulling -- perhaps looking to try some negotiating? ("I'll round up the worst of 'em, and maybe a few thou on top of that for good measure... now about about letting us keep at least $4.5 million??? Please??")

I hope NYC loses every damn penny. Let's find out just how much the Left is willing to sacrifice -- PERSONALLY -- for those "just looking for a better life."

"New York City has half a million undocumented people, we want them to come forward and work with the police, if they see a drime or are a victim of crime. If they believe by talking to a police officer, they would get deported... they are not going to work with police," he said about the 'sanctuary cities' label.

If you send them all home, they won't have to be a victim of crime in NYC and they won't need to talk to the police. Duh!

I am no lawyer, but after the 2012 ruling in Arizona vs United States I don't see this law suit having any chance in hell.

It was decided in the Supreme Court that Arizona could not even pass a law to help enforce federal immigration law. Now trying to sue the Feds over merely withholding funds to a local government that openly flaunts immigration law seems like a far far far far weaker case to make than Arizona's.

Especially after 7 days of Trump’s first week showed the country (the world) he’s not bluffing about his campaign promises.......

De Blasio has to sue. The courts are their last line of defense before President Trump sweeps up their undocumented immigrants voters and hustles them back across the border. They lost at the ballot box, Trump destroyed them in the media, and they obviously can't win this in the streets so it's venue shopping for left wing judges or total defeat. The game ain't over but we are definitely winning BIGLY!

Would you like to serve them consecutively, Mr. Mayor? You deserve to.

Going to court to protect your right to break the law? Only a liberal would think that makes sense.

Apparently Trump likes President Andrew Jackson. Something Jackson allegedly said comes to mind. “John Marshal has made his decision. Now let him enforce it.” Both Georgia and President Jackson ignored the court decision. (It had to do with Indian owned land on which gold was discovered.)

Trump also needs to seek legislation from Congress because the courts are going to be looking for any excuse to block this. And put the right’s smartest lawyers to work in drafting the legidlation.

Problem with this is that federal funds come with strings attached. Such as, no federal funds shall be used to support criminal activity. So neither New York, Commiefornia or anyone else who harbors criminals would be eligible. If the courts do the right thing, the case will be tossed rather quickly. And New York STILL won’t get the cash.

So federal funds are yet another entitlement now? NYC has some sort of unassailable right to our money? Prove it.

Okay.

So NYC who is blatantly breaking federal laws,

wants to go to federal court,

and have a federal judge tell the federal government,

that they cannot withhold federal funds from cities deliberately violating federal law.

First, yeah, let’s see how that one goes.

Second, has he ever gotten money from feds before? And the STRINGS that come along with them?

Does he not remember federal highway funds being yanked if states did not lower their speed limits to federally-demanded 55 mph limits?

All the strings attached to federal education funds?

OMG I would love to be the lawyer who gets to decimate NYC in federal court.

I think both the judge and the lawyer would get to rip NYC up and down the block for a few hours before kicking their asses out on the sidewalk.

New York City debt is somewhere around $115 to $120 dillion dollars.

It has more than doubled in the last 15 years.

de Blasio cannot afford to lose any federeal finances and he can’t take a chance on the city’s credit rating to take a drop by fighting Trump on the Sanctuary issue.

But he is an ultra far left democrat and all democrats believe they are always right and that logic, natural and man-made laws, and normal rules of conduct don’t apply to them.

A stupid argument from a stupid man.

Trump should make a preemptive strike and file a class action suit against all the cities, colleges, schools and the executives who initiated the sanctuary policies seeking fines and jail time in accordance with US law. In conjunction cut off federal funds

I just don’t understand! For decades the gov’t has threatened to pull federal funds from states if the states don’t do as the gov’t says. For instance, the feds tell states they will pull funds from schools or hospitals if they don’t obey. How does the sanctuary city situation different?
The city doesn’t obey, so the feds pull the funds. The state doesn’t obey so the feds pull the funds. Isn’t this the same ie a good analogy?
