“There is nothing illegal about that,” said Fred Voigt, the deputy election commissioner for Philadelphia. “The illegality only occurs if one votes in two places, not if you’re registered in both.”

Next logical question (which would never be asked by the msms) is how do the states compare their records??? Answer, they don't. Thus, we need an investigation.

That voids the Electoral College. Let’s start over again?

That’s not unusual since the states don’t always talk to each other. The question is whether she voted in two states.

Shoot, I’m probably still registered in California and I haven’t lived there for 14 years.

So they are trying to smear Trump by proxy, even where there is not an issue.

The real issue here is not Trump's daughter, it is the fact that one can easily register in two places and neither state knows about it. That needs to be fixed.

But it won’t be spun this way

BTW when I changed registrations, it asked me where I was presently registered.....do states talk with each other to eliminate duplication or is that my responsibility?

Seems like simple computer communications could take care of the problem quite easily and should be done rather than burden the voter with notification

Okay, well, she shouldn’t be.

This is what DJT is talking about.

Its not like she voted multiple times.

Hey, liberals - either Trump lied about vote fraud or it really exists.

Which is it? No wonder people hate you for your sleazy dishonesty.

Well did she vote in two places? If not, shut up about it.

Key statement:

“The illegality only occurs if one votes in two places, not if you’re registered in both.”

The creator of the Kellogg fortune was registered to vote in his home state and where he had his summer home. When he died both states used that registration to claim half of his estate, leaving nothing for the family.

JKM is beyond moronic. She has invited an investigation that will not incriminate most of the voters with extra registrations but put pressure on states and locals with bad voter rolls.

ABC radio “News” also reported that Bannon is registered in New York and Florida, but that he only voted once, and has been removed form Florida.

So what, dear ABC “News”, was the point of reporting that?

Being registered in two places isn’t a crime, however voting twice is.

But I’m quite sure that you knew that, didn’t you, ABC “news”?

I believe you should vote in districts where you own property. For candidate also. For state or national you should vote one. We need a national registration and a new look at property owners voting where they own property

It is not the responsibility of the voter to de-register. That is what Board of Elections is supposed to do.

How many people move from state to state or even county to county and register in their new home every year. Most of these people stay on the rolls in their old community for years. Some for decades.

It is one of the many the building blocks of voter fraud.

Was this meant to be a big "gotcha"?

Appears to me that it's relatively easy to determine if someone has voted in two places. Let's do a few million more along with the dead and and see what we find. I think figuring out if the unregistered voted is a tougher call--comparing signatures and all that.

Do various/most/any jurisdictions even have a way to de-register? Never occurred to me to tell NY I left and to de-register as a voter; never occurred to me in 10 years, and never tried to vote back there again.

It’s understood that people don’t actively de-register, and that people who moved or died may remain on the rolls for a long time thereafter. Ergo, “big nothingburger” as far as the implied guilt tenuously implicating Trump. The point is they don’t/shouldn’t vote more than once.

How many people are registered by someone else using their name and ID?

Remember the Chinese and other hackers have stolen hundreds of millions of iD’s. If you had a yahoo account you have been hacked. If you work for the federal govt you have been hacked

As a student in Pennsylvania she may have registered to vote there- or someone else may have registered her ID
How many students are registered at their homes and at their out of state schools?

Good on Trump for making this whole thing an issue
