It was taken BEFORE the inauguration - and the media knows it.
They don't care. It serves their political interests to feed the meme that Trump is not "Popular" and so they will lie and deceive to create that impression before the American People.
We need to (figuratively) smash them in the face with a sledgehammer for pulling such stunts. We need to make them suffer horribly for each such incident, because PAIN is the only way you are going to break them from this habit of lying and deceiving people.
But most importantly, we need to demonstrate to the American people that the New York/Los Angeles media people are mostly Liberal Liars with an agenda, and that they use their power to push that agenda instead of the truth.
Trump should hang the lying picture alongside the correct picture in the White House Press room with a big caption underneath it (which needs to be clearly readable from any cameras) that says "ABC/CNN LIED about crowd size."
I can only second that statement.
We need to do so though from a position of strength. If we are going to claim "alternate facts" - these must be CLEAR and easily understood be the average DUmmie. If the media can twist it, we will gain no ground.
The gigapixel is not really conclusive - the angle is totally different. I haven't seen any others that can be used as a better comparison.

Row 6 and Seats 18 & 19 -— the watches are readable
Row 10 and Seat 5 -— the man’s watch is readable
Zoom out and check the clock on Trump Tower —also readable.
CNN has earned the right to be DISS-TRUSTED.
In panning around the image, I’m surprised at two things: 1) I don’t see Cardinal Dolan in the audience close to the rostrum and 2) Sen Roy Blunt R-MO is seated to the immediate right of the Vice President in the front row. Surely His Eminence the Cardinal would’ve remained after his role in the program. Since MO was a solid red state from the start, unless Sen Blunt is a close personal friend of VP Pence, I can’t think of another reason he would be seated so prominently.
Yes, they are openly lying now about easily proven facts. They know that a large number of people will just hear the sound bytes and not investigate further. Sad, but true. I agree that we need to know the facts well, so we can counter the continued blatant lies.

I don’t see how this could have been faked. I’ve been scrutinizing it for the last four days and it sure looks legit to me.
Look to the right of the pole camera. About halfway up in the big oak tree, on the right side, what is that brown object? A sniper, maybe?
VP Pence was a very effective conservative House member before elected Gov. He and Blount may be old friends.
Justice Thomas is sitting behind President Trump. Six people behind him to the right is a gentleman with a Green Bay cap.
Beside him to his right is a Black gentleman with a blue knit hat.
Does anyone know who this gentleman is? To me it looks like Representative Lewis, the Representative that made so much noise about boycotting the inauguration. Does anyone else agree?

Yes, I noticed that! Lots of others like that. I’m not sure what is up with that. If you follow that wall to the left and just past the seated crowds you’ll see a nicely figured gal in black, she’s facing away from the crowd like she’s waiting for someone. I got a kick out of the guy behind her!

A fact is not simply information. "It is cold outside" is information, but not a "fact". It is not objectively verifiable. It is 32° F outside is a fact. It is verifiable. There is no "alternate" to that, excepting possibly it is 0° C, or another measurement equating to the same.
The media claimed that Obama's crowd size dwarfed Trump's. Spicer presented figures that countered that. Chris Todd harangued about "why did Spicer lie?" Since neither side can say, with certainty, how many people attended Obama's and Trump's ceremonies - the proper response, which she did kind of say later, is we have a have a different interpretation / opinion about the information. Todd laughed at her at that point.

Thanks. I didn’t get to see the Inauguration live. My wife recorded it for me and watched it live herself. When I asked her about Roy Blunt’s preferred seating, she told me that he had a speaking part in the ceremony. She didn’t remember what part that was. As to Cardinal Dolan, she said that he was seated over somewhere in the same section as the SC Justices, but his hair is much whiter than when we knew him in STL and he wasn’t immediately recognizable.
