Bureaucrats at the State Department brought 500 refugees into the country on Tuesday, one day before President Trump “is expected to order a multi-month ban on allowing refugees into the United States except for religious minorities escaping persecution, until more aggressive vetting is in place,” according to Reuters. The temporary ban on refugees will be one of several executive orders on immigration President Trump will sign on Wednesday, Reuters reports. “Another order will block visas being issued to anyone from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, said the aides and experts, who asked not to be identified.”
Two hundred and twenty-six of the 500 refugees resettled in the United States on Tuesday, or 44 percent, came from six of those seven countries, according to the State Department’s interactive website, as reported at 11:00 p.m. eastern on Tuesday: Syria (81), Iran (51), Iraq (46), Somalia (43), Sudan (4), and Yemen (1). No refugees from Libya were resettled in the United States on Tuesday.

In theory, according to intl lawyers w/ US federal experience.....by international law, foreign nations have to take their citizens back. Period. There is no "maybe."If those nations do not comply, they can be sued and found guilty in the international courts.......
REALITY CHECK----As of January 2016, the following countries listed were designated by ICE as "uncooperative" in accepting back their citizens the US wished to return----Third world refugees who committed crimes in the US: Afghanistan, Algeria, Burundi, Cape Verde, China, Cuba, Eritrea, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, India, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, and Zimbabwe.

State Department is full of people who will work to undermine the President. In this case, someone outed themselves by executing this action knowing it was obviously in conflict with the President’s stated plans. So whoever signed off on this need to be sent to a very important post in Yemen or perhaps Libya.

Question...and please, no Catholic bashing. We have a few local Catholic Churches who have sponsored a refugee family and brought them into our community...housing, food, etc. Why would they do this? Do these refugees become Catholics or stay Muslims? I don’t understand the purpose, when people in our own community need assistance. Thank you.

SOMEONE signed off on this, and that someone needs to be identified and fired.

I guess I should have known...follow the money, right? So these refugees to not convert to Catholics...they remain Muslims. They are even helping them get driver’s licences and will attend schools that my tax dollars pay for... (4 new kids)
