Queen's chaplain resigns over cathedral Koran reading row saying he has a 'duty' to defend Christianity:
A chaplain to the Queen has resigned after publicly criticising a church that allowed a Koran reading during its service as part of an interfaith project.
The Rev Gavin Ashenden, who until this week was one of the 33 special chaplains to the Queen, said the reading was a fairly serious error and one which he had a duty to speak out about.

The Marxists (like the Nazis before them) are co-belligerents with Islam for the sake of shutting down free speech and destroying the foundations of western civilization.
Islamic "refugees" (of late more frequently called "migrants") are colonists.
The Rev Gavin Ashenden....back in the day, he’d be made a knight.
Good for him. Standing UP against an “idol”
And the passage from the Koran, that was read in a Christian church, proclaimed that Jesus was NOT THE SON OF GOD. IN A CHRISTIAN CHURCH. Whoever approved this, in ‘the name of diversity’, should be fired. I weep for the naive people who are willingly following their leaders into the boxcars.
Henry VIII was a vile heretic and the people who are his “spiritual” heirs and control his “legacy” prove over and over that they are not real Christians. They wear their agnosticism as a badge of honor and scoff at the concept of Christ as the Divine resurrected Savior. They are parasites who live off the wealth left them true believers that preceded them and the gullible.
Allowing a koraqn reading which calls for your destruction is “interfaith”
The muzzleheads must be laughing at how easy it is to defeat us
It’s a start.
Resigned, or was fired? Seems to me that the UK is hell-bent on becoming izzlam. How long before the Queen is bowing down in submission, and the flag loses its cross?

He is possibly the last Christian clergyman left in Britain.
“can be compared with filing a claim of ownership over a piece of Real Estate at the Courthouse”
Excellent analogy. Once that claim is legally made, ‘tis very difficult for the rightful owner to discharge that claim.
I will reserve my prayers for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This occurred in Scotland, which really does seem to be nearly, completely lost. Maybe they really should separate from Great Britain.
Prayers for him, and that the UK will see the error of their ways.
Thank you, Rev. Ashenden for speaking out and standing by your faith.
That was his first mistake. His second was not approving the particular reading.
wonder what the Pope would do???
Wouldn’t matter, for he is as illegitimate as pope, as Trump is as president for some folks.
good for him.
This is a slightly academic point in the context, but the reading didn’t take place in an Anglican Church, as originally established by Henry VIII - it was a Scottish Episcopal church, which has a different history.
