During MSNBC’s coverage of Friday’s Inauguration, anchor Rachel Maddow stated that President Trump’s Inaugural Address “was militant, and it was dark,” and “America First” “means a specific thing in this country,” the “infiltrated by Nazis” and “anti-Semitic” America First Committee, and “to re-purpose it now, not that far down the historical path, it’s hard.”
Maddow said, “This was a workman-like speech. He — it was short and he went through it quickly, and it was militant, and it was dark, the crime, the gangs, the drugs, this American carnage, disrepair, decay. You can’t imagine the outgoing president giving a speech like that. This president also repeating — the new president, also repeating that our guiding principle will be America first, America first. We know how he has used that as a campaign slogan, that does also have dark echoes in American history. There was an America First Committee that formed in this country, hundreds of thousands of people in this country, some of the richest businessmen in the country were a part of of it. They were formed to keep us out of World War II. They were infiltrated by the Nazis. Many of them were anti-Semitic, part of why they weren’t alarmed by Hitler’s rise in Germany. The America First Committee is something that means a specific thing in this country, to re-purpose it now, not that far down the historical path, it’s hard. It’s hard to hear.”

She’s one of those ladies who belonged in the march. We have seen their signs and heard the foul language. It is so sad to see such ungodly women in public. There is nothing more evil than ungodly women. Hell is continually enlarging itself and I can sometimes see why.
“America First” was a movement during WWII, led by people like Charles Lindbergh. The movement was about NOT getting involved in the war in Europe. The assumption was that America didn’t care if Hitler was killing Jews.
This is why they consider the phrase Anti-Semitic.
It’s almost laughable that after eight years of a genuine anti Semite, the President loved by Israel gets accused of Jew hating.

The America First Committee in the build up to WW2 was primarily made up of leftists like Maddow, such as socialist leader Norman Thomas. It also had the support of big business, notable publishers, authors and Hollywood types.
But Maddow couldn’t be bothered to look it up.
Then she asked me about the comments Trump made about grabbing women by the p****. I looked her straight in the eye and said - Do you really think women like the high and mighty Madonna haven't made comments about grabbing men by the d***? I know how women talk about men and I'm not into double standards
The very peoe who want Israel wiped off the map and actively funded Israel’s number one enemies call us anti semetic. Projection at its best.

Opposition to direct US involvement in WWII was overwhelming right up until Pearl Harbor. Almost the entire political right was in the “isolationist” camp as was FDR, the NYT, Washington Post etc.
The pro-intervention camp was small and was largely made up of card carrying communists.
After America was attacked, 99% of the “isolationists” supported US entry into the war.
There was never really much controversy over the issue. We went from being overwhelmingly in favor of staying out, to overwhelmingly in favor of getting in once we were attacked by Japan.
The liberal media later created a narrative to try to smear the political right.
