Is this thing on?
“Is this thing on?”
TAP, TAP, TAP, SREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECCCHHHHHH ...
yep.
Never realize quite how much you appreciate this site, until it’s not there. Wow.
WELCOME BACK.
I don’t do facebook so was pretty depressed when I couldn’t log on to read everyone’s thoughts on the inauguration and celeb backlash. I did find another outlet but it’s just not the same :)
What is the Facebook address?
I tried looking for the old yahoo address but, I guess it’s no longer in use.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was a looooooooong Moo-mov. XD
So glad FR is back!
Free Republic website was down while Administrators could train their new Indian programmers and welcome their new Chinese overlords!!!
YES!!!!! A conservative site without incessant ads!!!!!
Thanks for the PING Luvy!!
Thank God FR is back!
The withdrawal pangs were awful!!
Thanks Jim and John for firing FR back up!
Recovery is good. Good job!
BTTT
Can anyone explain what happen? I was at the airport, and couldn’t log on to FR. This was around 12 noon Central Time. Did someone hack into us?
I assumed it was brought down by hostile enemies somehow. Since I don’t use Facebook, had no idea what happened. Twitter is much easier to access for quick updates.
Nah, it has been a dull couple of days. :)
Glad you are back up and running. I was going through serious withdrawals. All is better now.
“Never realize quite how much you appreciate this site, until its not there.”
Pretty much realize that FR is better than a good thing so I won’t say “never”. But my FR you do sum things up better than I! I felt lost kicking tires at even familiar sites.
NOW, after I’ve dug holes, filled sandbags with the residue and pretty much set the perimeter, wonder if the local mattress store will let me return the necessitas? That refund is down payment on my ducket for the FR bucket.
I’m starting to breathe again. I love you guys. The rest of the world is so crazy.
I don’t mind taking a peek at the world outside of FReeRepublic, and then reporting back here, but this was like checking the mail in your bare feet and having the door shut and lock behind you. It was a little annoying at first, but I was sure somebody would open the door right away. Or soon. Then it started raining, and the temperature dropped, and the wind picked up, and the bears came out of hybernation, and the snow was swirling all about, and the mosquitoes were biting, and the ground was covered in a thick sheet of ice, and poison oak was wrapping around my ankles and tripping me, and the quicksand was dragging me down, and nothing made any sense.
I’m not going out there again.
