Oh wait: Chicago already *has* draconian gun laws...
Chicago’s murder rate is about 4 1/2 times that.
Last year's murder rate was already enough to put Atlanta in the top 10 per capita in the entire US (among cities of 250,000 or more).
To put into context just how bad those numbers are, the national rate for the US in 2015 was 4.9 (a sharp increase from the 4.4 in 2014), and Canada's rate was 1.7.
John Lewis will take to the streets tomorrow and stop this before the sun sets.(/s)
Chicago scoffs at Atlanta’s murder numbers in the same way that they scoff as Atlanta shuts down over a half inch of snow. Sorry, Atlanta, but you’re not ready for the big leagues.
