President Obama has commuted the 35-year sentence of former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning for leaking classified information in 2010 to WikiLeaks.

Seriously? You think Obama’s privacy is as valuable as the lives put at risk by your perverted hero?
“Seriously? You think Obamas privacy is as valuable as the lives put at risk by your perverted hero?”
I said no such thing and I do not defend things I never said.
But nice try, Mr. Alinsky.
You certainly equated the two when you said it’s the same criminal offense.
You don’t need to try to defend anything. There is no defense for the pap you’re pushing. Your hero is a traitor who put our nation at risk by stealing and releasing secret information. He’s not a whistle blower. He’s a traitor who should die for his crimes. No matter how you try to twist it, those are the facts.
Reminds me of a serial killer I’ve seen in some movie going way back...can’t think of it at the moment, but to be sure...a serial killer look-a-like!
One last comment.....traitors used to be shot. Obama said that Manning (I refuse to say ‘she’) has served a significant amount of time. So 7 years vs death......and the damage Manning did to our relations with our ‘allies’ is incalculable. Cannot wait for this ******* to have no more control over what happens in this country.
I’m glad to see Obama leaving as well. I only wish he’d take his fellow [insert Laz’s 2 Days rant here] with him. I’m sick of hearing from them about how horrible America is, how trivial treason is, and how our troops deserve to be betrayed and killed. I’m sick of hearing “what difference does it make” from these [Laz rant again].
Obama doesn’t care if you leak military secrets, but he’s ready to start nuclear war over Hillary’s corruption being exposed
No, no President can revoke a commutation, even if the remaining sentence has not yet ended. The sentence has now been changed, and Manning’s release date is in May. Presidents do not have the power to impose sentences.
I think the only legal process that could cancel this commutation would be to demonstrate that the commutation was done in error, e.g. with the wrong name.
Assange probably said what he did about extradition to the USA when Clinton looked like the future President. I doubt he would take the chance with our new president.
What I want to know is which military brainiak decided to put an obviously sensitive, somewhat effeminate, person with childhood abuse issues in a job where he had to monitor killings on a regular basis, especially that of citizens rather than soldiers. I wonder what has become of the person who made that decision.
Manning asked for commutation, not a pardon, admitting guilt but asking for mercy. Release will be this April. Commutation can be reduction of sentence or of fines.
His momma named him Bradley so I’m gonna call him Bradley!
Or by someone who was never really the president to begin with.
You mean like Chelsea instead of Bradley?............hmmmmmmm............
I don’t know.
Color me SHOCKED that 0dungo didn’t pardon Bergdahl or Hitlary!
