Donald Trump has a problem on his hands ... what to do with 2 private jets and 3 helicopters. Our Trump sources say the fate of Trump's 757, Citation X and 3 choppers are in limbo. He can't sell them because if he does it will look like he's profiting off the presidency. Likewise, he can't charter them out because it will open the door to criticism that he's getting a POTUS premium. Trump, we're told, will not let the kids use the planes ... they fly commercial and if they choose private it's on their own dime. And putting the aircrafts in storage poses other problems. They need to be maintained, which is a complicated and expensive process ... requiring pilots and mechanics. POTUS problems.
Use them to fly wounded warriors/vets to and from military ceremonies and re-connect families across the globe.
“So here is another problem. Melania has said she is leaving DC 2 days after Trump is sworn in according to TMZ.
So how is she going to fly back and forth.
If she uses govt assets that will be a crap storm every time...despite things like Obama going on a joy ride to NYC for a date night, etc.”

Are you kidding me??? The wookie and her mother flew to Europe, Asia, Africa all on our dime! I’m sure we can handle the hop from DC to NYC.
Hi.
Imho, keep the Citation, and one Bell under Trump Inc.
Not good to be flying commercial anymore for the new CEO etc.
Sell the 757, and the two remaining rotary wings. F what the media or the minority party says.

I forgot, sell the 727 too.

How much did Obama profit from book sales when he was elected? Was that bad?
“I would think they belong to the company, not Trump personally.”
I AGREE WITH YOU .. I would think the “property of the business” would be included in the transfer of authority over the business ..??
Raffle them off. Proceeds from the raffle go to the Wounded Warriors project. Then take the write off.
Who wants an “average” pilot anyway?
“I would think one of a kind planes are like houses or cars, youll never get back the money you put into them.”
Having worked in the industry, you are correct.
If you were a lefty, liberal journalist, you would immediately understand, accept, and then write about what a criminal he was.
When obama moved into the White House, did he sell the other home(s) he was no longer using ?
Trump can lease or sell the jets with the requirement that the new owner or lessee repaint them, remove the Trump name and symbols, and in no way promote or seek to profit from or gain attention from their former association with Trump. In addition, Trump can obtain a fair market value opinion as to their worth, put them up for open bid, and then donate any excess above that valuation to a well-recognized charity like the USO or Wounded Warrior.
When George Bush became President, did he sell off his stock in oil companies ?
Did he get rid of his cattle ranch ?
No, which only serves to underline the unprecedented actions taken by Trump in essentially divesting himself, just to shut up the critics so he can proceed unimpeded.
That it also sets a precedent going forward lays a bit of a landmine for any overly-pecunious Clintons considering making another run at it, too, so there’s that.
...or stop publishing books?
Area 51 has room
What company do you think owns the Trump planes? The Boeing 757, N757AF, is owned by DJT Operations I LLC, and the Citation X, N725DT, is owned by DT Endeavor I LLC. Trump's sons are executives with Trump Organization.
Because the leftards will inevitably argue that the aircraft are worth less than whatever someone pays for them and that the difference is a bribe.
Easy, just take the aeronautical “blue book” value -

and donate any excess to charity.
Folks forget, he could have been sitting on his yacht in Tahiti having the time of his life.
