FBI arrests wife of gunman in Pulse Orlando terror attack

ORLANDO, Fla. - The FBI has arrested the wife of the gunman in the Pulse terror attack, Channel 9 learned Monday.

Noor Salman Mateen was married to Omar Mateen when he carried out his attack in Orlando last June.

FBI agents took Salman Mateen into custody at a home in Northern California, authorities said.

Salman Mateen is charged with obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting the attempted provision of material support to a foreign terrorist organization. Salman Mateen will be transferred from Northern California to the Middle District of Florida, the FBI said.

Early reports said the shooter had told all his friends, and presumably wife, about the attack. She said something similar and then vanished.

I suspect they waited as long as possible to arrest her for several reasons. The family of a terrorist become celebrities and get lots of contacts from admirers. Also, it appears she was more involved in material support than thought at first.

Interesting. The headline indicates they arrested the wife of Omar Mateen . . .not his widow. Likely just an error - however, when discussing the deceptions involved in islamic terrorism, I don't take anything for granted.

So the plot thickens

We were at a Red Cross meeting at their regional office in Orlando. A cute, vivacious Palestinian girl who turned out to be a mouthpiece for CAIR did a sort of presentation for us, trying to put a positive spin and a "happy face" on Islam, telling us how tolerant and accepting the overwhelming majority of them are of all cultures religions, sexualities, and how they celebrate diversity, too and blah blah blah.
