Bob Woodward: ‘Trump’s Right’ — Intel Community Has Treated Him Like ‘Garbage’
Daily Caller ^ | 10:35 AM 01/15/2017 | Christian Datoc

Bob Woodward backed Donald Trump in his ongoing feud against the U.S. intelligence community during a panel discussion on “Fox News Sunday.”

“In Trump’s mind, he knows the old adage, ‘once a C.I.A. man, always a C.I.A. man,’ and no one came out and said those people shouldn’t be saying those things,” the Washington Post’s famed editor explained. “So act two is the briefing when this dossier is put out.”

“I’ve lived in this world for 45 years where you get things and people make allegations,” he continued. “That is a garbage document.”

“It never should have been presented as part of an intelligence briefing, as you suggested — other channels have the White House counsel give it to Trump’s incoming White House counsel.”

Woodward emphatically stated the president-elect is “right to be upset about that, and I think if you look at the real chronology and the nature of the battle here, those intelligence chiefs who were the best we’ve had, who were terrific and have done great work — they made a mistake here.”

“When people make a mistake, they should apologize.”

Then, perhaps it is not that Woodward moved to the right.

Perhaps it is much more that the Democrats moved far to the left.

DJT is the Commander and Chief and he does NOT have to put up with overtly disloyal subordinates. There is a time and place to challenge the boss but the press is neither.

The press has gotten its BEhind spanked. I think its wunnerful! The press hates El Trummp. I think THAT'S wunnerful too. Life is good again.

That bowing chimp chump is out of our lives! I DO remember when the POTUS, president of the most powerful country on earth, bowed WAY, WAY too low to the Japanese ambassador. He bowed as if he were an inferior. Wow. WHAT a chump.

John McCain, the great AMerican hero, is at the center of this and at the center of the Trump Russia meme.

Trump is about to make the old guard GOP senatorial “bipartisan” gangs of four etc , ear marks, and buy offs, into dinosaurs. McCain sees Trump coming for him, and he is trying to lash out as the Trump tsunami sweeps McCain away forever.

Trump is about to depoliticize the CIA, NIS, and the FBI. They see him coming, and have done everything to damage Trump. So now Trump has the pefect PUBLIC reason, the perfect excuse to clean house, and clean house he shall. The People expect it.

The swamp is about to be drained.Trump wins again.

And I am not anywhere sick of winning yet.

Its a given that Chuck Schumer is not the brightest guy . However when he began gushing that Trump had better be careful because the CIA has the power to take down anyone, he revealed more than he should.

Not the first time Chuck has given advance warnings… he telegraphed the banking crisis and no one ever did seem to put his pills in the vise over that.

Woodward seems like an actual journalist - you know, a real journalist who by definition is actually interested in the facts.

There was a conspiracy theory going around that GHWB had dinner with Hinkley’s parents and they agreed that Hinckly should shoot Reagan in a non death penalty state.

Made for fun reading at least :)

There is something really delicious about lefties LOVING the CIA, PRAYING for a war with Russia and clutching Big Biz tightly to their (sagging) bosoms.

“Then, perhaps it is not that Woodward moved to the right.

Same thing that happened to Ronald Reagan, Zell Miller and a host of other “old school” Democrats. Woodward has actually remained a reasonable voice down through the years and understands the role of journalism in a way that today’s crop of sycophants could never imagine!

That Schumer intimated a threat to Trump should get Schumer hauled in front of an investigatory panel. One that will squeeze him for an explanation of what he meant by ‘they are going to get Trump’. What does Schumer know and when did he come into possession of knowledge that the intel cabals are out to ‘get’ Trump? In fact, I’d like to see Chuckie tossed into the back of a black unmarked van, taken to a secure facility and undergo rendition. I suspect Chuckie would break within minutes. He doesn’t seem to be very capable of withstanding discomfort for too long.

Just a threat to search Shumer’s computers for kiddie porn should be enough to keep his mouth shut for a decade.

The response to anything Podesta has to say about the Rooskies should be, “Let’s talk about the emails.”

those intelligence chiefs who were the best we’ve had, who were terrific and have done great work

If they believe and pass on garbage like this then it tells us a lot about their lack of critical and interpretive skills. If they can pass on patent hooey on a man they have a lot of validating information about, what do they believe, make up and "estimate" regarding leaders that they know less about. What kind of garbage is in Putin's "dossier" for instance. It must read like a high school cheerleader's journal.

Would it be such a loss to fire the lot of them. High school gossip queen's probably have a better BS detector than these clowns.

And if the folks at Langley don't like being laughed at, then maybe it's time for opening the windows, airing the place out, and hauling your detritus off to the dump.

Sen. McCain’s role in the smearing of Trump needs to be investigated and publicized.
