I’m going to take a different view on this, gaffer. Granted, the media can reap what they sow and that’s a real excellent thing to happen to them. But you know what? The out-of-control protestors at rallies turned a lot of law-abiding people (there are some on the left) away from hillary and to voting for DJT. Unhinged protestors behaving like this to the media which has mostly supported their view? It just might wake up some media folks.

I understand the ‘reason and decency’ approach wrt journalism but the culture in which these people have matriculated is about as ideologically and morally corrupt as can be, actually. From their parentage, status, upbringing, education and work, NOTHING reinforces the basic good and morality our country strived for on its founding. Most are nothing more than opportunistic ideological misery ghouls who almost never look for the real truth, warts and all.

Rather they have taken that aegis of the first amendment and conferred themselves with this mystical “press” persona where they are jury and judge - unaccountable.

I don’t want the media ‘woken up’. They are too far gone, IMO. I want them discredited and for real Americans to seek the real truth for themselves, not relying on some news prig to tell them what to think on highly biased information. The press is not present at these ‘events’ to tell the truth; they are there to bend and twist it to fit their narrative according to the talking points they receive.

I agree that they are actually hurting their cause with violent behavior.

The protests at the Trump rallies had the same effect.
