Homeland, Season 6 Review: A Politically Correct Carrie
Gone is the series original vitality, replaced with predictable politeness.

Its a far from familiar Carrie, bipolar scourge of terrorists, who shows up in season 6 of Homeland, set in that destination strivers around the world dream of living innamely, Brooklyn. Shes there having abandoned any further service to the CIA, becauseshe makes clear in the shows opening episodesshes become increasingly dismayed by Americas policies in the Middle East. Not to mention at home, where shes appalled to discover that the U.S government has been taking the threat of homegrown terrorism seriously and going so far as to investigate enthusiasts of jihad, creators of websites for the dissemination of messages from Islamic State, devotees of suicide bombers, and even charging some suspected of connection with terror networks abroad.

So it is that we find an even more chronically infuriated Carrie than the one of previous seasons. Instead of chasing around the capitals of the world hunting down terrorists about to set off explosions intended to take the lives of tens of thousands of unbelievers, shes now spending her days in her Brooklyn offices devoted to legal defense of Muslim males she considers unjustly charged victims of the U.S. government. Unjustly charged in many ways, in Carries viewthe most remarkable aspect of which is her complaint that the government investigators aiming to prevent the next mass murder of

True,already saw the episode,really pathetic
Yeah. I watched it last night. Very uninspiring. Lol
Carrie is a wacko
Not done yet, but may have to watch the S&M stuff On Billions just to get a Damian Lewis fix...
In spite of its popularity, Downton Abbey was the same thing. First three seasons were good...but they wore their theme out. Last three seasons were made to keep actors employed and PBS afloat. By season 5, most have run out of juice.
We just finished watching this episode. Absolutely dreadful.
Anyone know why it was put out for viewing early?
“There have been quite a few shows that I watched and liked until they turned to political messaging. Then I stop watching them.”
This happens a lot. What’s interesting is they seem to know that they need to keep a lid on the left wing crap to get you drawn in. I’ll never forget, l’m watching the Sopranos and the next l know one of the wise guys starts giving someone a Lewinsky. By the end of this years Game of Throne every kingdom was run by a woman. Pretty much ever time they have to screw up every good series with PC bs
No clue. I was checking to see when it started again and saw the episode had already been uploaded. Shrug
It’s probably Carries way to find Muslim terrorists again like she pretended to be a traitor in the beginning of season 3.
I doubt they’re turning the show into a far left/liberal direction.
” Gordon described himself as pretty upset about the problem, and recalled the shock of finding graffiti, spray-painted on the set in Berlin, accusing Homeland of being racist
He was shocked at being accused of racism.
For heaven’s sake, practically EVERYONE is racist these days——where has this guy been?
Mongolia?
.
Blue Bloods is trying very hard to get off my list as well. NCIS the most popular TV Series in the world has stayed the course for the most part, the two spinoffs not so much.
Mark Harmon either had some surgery this year or they have started doing a remake with software. They ended a season a couple years ago by bring the cast into a room where they looked 20 years younger. They for sure can not go 4k with the fuzzy lenses they are using now.
This is definitive proof that someone on that show gets it. They must have lost the argument to Hillary supporters.
