How are you going to generate taxes to pay for this, then? Ain’t that a catch.

By taxing the robots.

(Not that I necessarily support that stance.)

How do you generate taxes to pay for welfare? Would it take less ‘generation’ for this scheme than welfare? It’s just a question of the math. Money is being dispensed that hasn’t been earned in either scenario, which is the lesser burden to the taxpayer. And yes, the ideal is NO monies being utilized for either case but we know that situation is not going to occur....l

Where we’re going, there is no money...

Robots eventually take over every job until labor costs nothing.

Then once they start nanoprinting and mining in space, materials will be free too.

Real estate might be cramped until other planets are colonized.

But eventually even that will be irrelevant since you’ll be able to enjoy unlimited space, things and maybe even time with your buddies in the VR world.

Material things will mean nothing when everyone can have unlimited quantities of everything.
