John McCain, R-Ariz., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., are set to release a bipartisan bill to increase sanctions on Russia over the country's interference in the U.S. presidential election. The Countering Russian Hostilities Act of 2017, whose chief sponsor is Democratic Sen. Ben Cardin of Maryland, will depute at an afternoon press conference, Politico reports. The bill is intended as a message that the GOP wishes to repudiate Russia for its hostile actions despite Republican president-elect Donald Trump has publicly questioned the country's involvement in the hack of the Democratic National Committee.

Funny isn’t it? The congress’ entire goal since the election has been over has been to try and make it look like Trump is illegitimate and to try and force his hand on one of the things he ran on (that was against all the other losers who got destroyed by him) Russian policy. Senators are really idiots. They should be appointed and not elected so we can regularly change them by getting in state legislators who are in tune with their constituents. Oh wait! That’s what it’s supposed to be.

With all the fears over hacking, foreign electronic warfare, compromised intelligence agencies, etc. you would think some combination of assets could dig up the smoking gun on McCain and force him out of office (I wish).
