A new report released today features both the FBI seeking to launch a surveillance operation against an active US presidential campaign, and the ultra-rare case of the FISA courts actually turning down an FBI request to conduct surveillance against somebody.
The report, originating at the Guardian, claims that the FBI had sought broad surveillance powers over four high-ranking members of President-elect Donald Trumps campaign during the election, claiming them to have had contact with Russian officials.
The FISA court turned the request down, telling investigators they needed to narrow the request. ADVERTISING
Though the four are not directly named in the report, it is related to claims in a dossier of Russia having substantial blackmail dirt on Trump, and that dossier centered heavily around accusations against a handful of Trump campaign personnel, including Carter Page, Paul Manafort, and Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, along with Trumps personal lawyer Michael Cohen, meaning some of them may well be among the targets.

The Obamunists weaponized the government. They tried to use Anti-Terror laws to go after Trump??
Trump is not only going to have to drain the swamp, but pull out literally every weed, and start the wetlands over.
How did the proceedings in front of a secret court get in the Guardian?
Why all the interest in Trump-Russian relations?
Is there any actual evidence, even circumstantial or more than hearsay that Trump has relations with Putin or any Russians?
You watch.
You juuust watch.
Before this is over, we’re going to find out that the only hacking that was done, was done by the Obama administration against Trump.
Several reasons, the biggest of which is that Trump and Putin might make common cause against ISIS and other Islamic extremists, payments from whom to various retired (and not-yet-retired) politicians will stop if the people who sign the checks are pushin' up daisies.
At least it was turned down
>> was done by the Obama administration
Well, the FBI is under the jurisdiction of the Executive branch.
If two or more people know a secret- will not stay a secret.
I
I've already caught Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs faking two stories about Trump, so I take this accordingly. The new Guardian piece is by Julian Borger, who I remember assisting Joseph Wilson's disinformation campaign during Nigergate; he's clearly an asset for an intelligence agency himself. One thing that's interesting here is that the disinformation about Trump is being distributed on both sides of the Atlantic--it spread from Rome to MI6 (according to Carl Bernstein anyway) and to the U.S.
“How did the proceedings in front of a secret court get in the Guardian?”
Unknown —— but, now we all get to see how evil the Obamunists really are...
Fishibg expedition for impeachment plannng purposes. Bastards.
From the Guardian —
“The Guardian has learned that the FBI applied for a warrant from the foreign intelligence surveillance (Fisa) court over the summer in order to monitor four members of the Trump team suspected of irregular contacts with Russian officials. The Fisa court turned down the application asking FBI counter-intelligence investigators to narrow its focus. According to one report, the FBI was finally granted a warrant in October, but that has not been confirmed, and it is not clear whether any warrant led to a full investigation.”
That “one report” is a link to Heat Street, which gives my phone fits, and is questionable for fakery. Need more...
Trump can simply declassify the FISA request. 8 days!
Some serious deep state machinations going on....there’s billions of dollars involved here in trade & immigration that will dry up if Trump gets his way by reinstating the rule of law on the border & dumping NFTA & the TPP.
That’s quite shocking.
I wonder if the warrant “granted” in October was “granted” because of the phony 4Chan information that began in October. I understand why they are so paranoid about Trump becoming president. When he finds out the extent they were willing to go to dig up information on him (using every asset of information gathering at the disposal of the president — legal and otherwise) Trump will see corrupt DC at its worse.
They have done everything possible to break him. It hasn’t worked. Now they will try to impeach him. Just my opinion.

Yes. In many ways I am glad to see happening, because many in this forum were very supportive of increased federal police powers following 9/11. Now some of those same people may understand why some of us in the liberty wing of the R party - conservative/constitutional independents if you will - felt that those powers would be a threat to the Republic at some point in the future. That point is the present.
Perhaps just adding to the narrative. Like the now missing Mr. Steele (the uk MI6 guy who wrote the so called report). Now that everyone wants to interview Mr. Steele, he’s in the wind? Unless of course he’s a known entity proven to have existed and I missed that?
This whole thing keeps rolling on autopilot after the original ploy has fallen apart. Reminds me of that old Star Trek episode, “The Changeling.”
They are NOMAD.
