2. Christie's dismal performance in the 2016 GOP primaries shows how little traction a candidate from New Jersey has in a nationwide race. Nobody takes this state seriously, which is why there hasn't been anyone from New Jersey in a position of substance in Washington (president, vice president, House speaker, Senate majority leader, etc.) since the automobile was invented.

It seems like every time a demorat sets a precedent by misbehaving and breaking tradition it comes back to bite them in the behind. The Harry Reid nuclear option against the filibuster is going to be used against them soon. I’m sure Cory Booker’s breaking with the long-standing tradition will come back to haunt the dems (and maybe Booker himself) at a later date.
He’s living by the sword... for now.
Cory Booker, like POTUS, Obama has had his fifteen minutes of fame. He and Obama are so “yesterday” it is a simple laughing matter!!! They do not come much dumber then this “Obamabot Buffoon”!!!

Another reason we dodged a bullet in 2016 - this time no Sinator would sign on with any Electoral College objection; next time, some ‘rat will want to get historical. Surprised Booker didn’t do so last week.

Months after he first entered the Senate, the New Jersey comptroller alleged that under Booker’s watch—or, more likely, because he was not watching—corruption ran rampant at a publicly funded water-treatment and reservoir-management agency, where Booker’s former law partner served as counsel.
And speaking of his former law career: Despite having resigned from his law firm once entering the mayor’s office, Booker received annual payments until 2011, during which time the firm was profiting handsomely off of Brick City. That would be the Brick City that Booker professed to love with the fire of a thousand suns, but did little to fundamentally change. Murder, violent crime, unemployment, and taxes all rose dramatically under his stewardship.
Booker, to Sessions: Nothing personal; it’s just business. I want to be president in 2020, and you need to lay down for me.
Probably so . . . but by breaking precedent and Senate comity he certainly is asking for it.
