>>This is Boston Globe’s figleaf of a “story”,

No one buys the Globe anymore outside of Boston. They have taken to free-delivering it to non-Bostonians outside the 495 loop, hoping to pick-up new subscribers. It appears in your driveway wrapped in plastic like a dead fish. LOL!

Bean is one of the few companies that make clothes I can actually wear. Tall frame, inseam lengths and sleeve lengths to order. Nice fit, long lasting, quality and value.

Everybody whose livelihood depends on bean should take note and vote. Buyers should also support.

I was just wanting to order a paid of their slippers the other day, but couldn’t really justify $70 for slippers - but now I can!

I had always settled for second-rate slippers for the same reason...I really couldn't justify spending $50 or more dollars on a good leather pair, lined with shearling.

A couple of years ago, after another pair of slippers wore out too quickly--ones that were always too hot and scratchy on my heat, given the fake polyester lining--my wife surprised me with a pair of L.L. Bean slippers for Christmas. They were immediately so much better and more comfortable than any previous slipper.

This past Christmas, I bought my father a nice pair of L.L. Bean slippers. He too, had suffered through the cheap pairs long enough. He loves his new ones.

If your shoe size is a half size, I'd advise rounding up to the next larger size. You can't beat L.L. Bean for their slippers or customer service.

Hmmm, time to order a couple well made flannel shirts and pairs of khakis. Funny thing about boycotts, as evidenced by the lines at Chick-fil-A, we the majority can stomp them into dust.

There was a pizzeria in Grand Rapids, Michigan who placed a gigantic Trump side on his property. The press savaged him for it, the libs were outraged in news interviews and began a boycott campaign against him. We went there a couple days after it broke and ended up having to wait over a half hour to be seated. Take-out was practically non-stop. The owner was waiting tables, bussing, and making pies with his cooks to keep up. I said to him it didn’t look as tho the endorsement had hurt his business. He just laughed.

I have a feeling LL Bean might experience an uptick in business too.

Years ago I visited my rich city dwelling kin in a neighboring state. Some African safari movie was popular at that time.
He pulled up in a new BIG safari Jeep, dressed in his Safari shirt and shorts, with a Safari hat on his head. I had to force myself to keep from laughing. All in Nashville Tennessee.
He took me in his BIG HOUSE, showed me his rifles, unfired with the price tags still on them.
He was a firm believer in “SHOWing off”. I doubt he has ever fired a rifle in his life. But he “looked” cool!

I only buy LL Bean jeans. No gay Levi’s for me.
Good quality, good selection, plus I find out they are conservative? I’m liking this wining thing!!

I, too, have made that observation. The majority of item now say “imported”.
But you wouldn’t know it by their prices

For those that missed it, I posted the link to Bean’s granddaughter’s interview on F&F this a.m. on the Trump Family Train Transition thread. This story says $60k, but I seem to recall she said $25k. BTW, her cousin donated a lot more to the Dims.

There is a discount if you use the code snow25.

I ordered a pair of their famous hunting boots last month. Won’t get them until March, but the pair I have now lasted over 20 years. I wore them in snow, mud and the wet. I can wait.
