An accomplished San Francisco comic book and nonfiction author, who has been published in Marvel and a slew of other publications, was arrested on suspicion of possessing more than 600 child pornography files and uploading the graphic videos to YouTube, police said Friday.
Gerard Jones, 59, was arrested after a police investigation and ensuing search warrant at his residence in the 600 block of Long Bridge Street in San Franciscos Mission Bay neighborhood turned up a host of electronic devices storing more than 600 images and videos depicting child pornography, police said.
The uploaded YouTube videos depicted a child performing sexual acts on an adult, police said. And other videos uncovered inside Jones home showed adults performing sexual acts on children as young as 1-year-old, police said.

The whole comic book artist industry is loaded with these guys.
I am all in for killing these people.
Went to the link.
What is it with these pop-ups so many sites have that obscure the screen and cannot be closed? Often it is just a talking head reading the same story.
Yeah.
I used to be a big comic book fan but the entire medium has turned into an LGBT advocacy program for emtionally arrested man-children.
Instead of creators like Stan Lee and Jack Kirby (a couple of WWII vets) or Steve Ditko (an ultra conversative objectivist), the industry is comprised of a bunch of perverts.
If I still had young kids I’d be afraid to let them go to a comic-con at this point. It’d by like throwing them into a NAMBLA gathering.
It's like Whoopi and her "it wasn't 'real rape'" comment about Roman Polanski.
That’s why I use an ad blocker.
Right. Exactly. I really don’t think a lot of people know this. Japan has a huge comic industry where they use comics as substitutes for movies. One comic artist wrote once that most comic artists are wanna-be directors and movie makers and that comics are cheaper.
Japan’s comics are separated into different categories. Once category is very much inundated with sexual depictions and the LBGT is very much represented in this category.
It’s said it’s common to see them reading thick comics on trains on their way to work.
One comic category is Yaoi, which means ‘Boy’s Love’ and is all about homosexual relations.
from Wikipedia I will link to after.
“the characters may be of any age above puberty, including adults. Works featuring prepubescent boys are labelled shotacon and seen as a distinct genre.”

Many comic artists and writers are very in tune to the anime and manga comics of Japan.
I do too, but these aren’t ads. They are regular parts of the web site, programmed by the site designers.
I don’t what to tell you. The video didn’t load for me.
Me too!
Was at a friend's house who doesn't have a blocker and I was blown away by the number of ads he was deluged with.

In A Nation of Faith and Flesh, Gerard Jones chronicles the first culture war in American history, when private morality and religion were politicized as never beforeand as they are still being politicized today.
From his blog (http://gerardjones.blogspot.com/2012/09/puer-aeternus.html):
I’ve just come back from volunteering at the Democratic National Convention. I was in the formatting squad of the Press Distribution team, so most of the time my job was to take speeches scripted for the teleprompter (odd punctuation, stage directions, no paragraphs) and format them to look like written English. When there was no formatting work I shifted to the “running” team, which involved getting the hard copies of those speeches to journalists scattered all over the Time-Warner Cable Arena.
“The video didnt load for me.”
I don’t want it to load. I want it to go away.
Were you able to close the video player window?
Why would anybody upload that to YouTube?
Was he trying to get caught?
San Francisco. ‘Nuff said.
I think you mean the auto-play feature of a video.
One or two execution style killings of those who authorize such features would help to reduce such obnoxiousness.
