Name one city that doesn’t have a shortage off police.

I don’t see police in my neighborhood, don’t see crime either. There must be something different about my neighborhood than Baltimore.

They would still get plenty of applications if the city was fiscally sound.

These are jobs with very good pay, excellent benefits and amazing pensions. All you need is a HS diploma.

But the new guys know the pensions are doomed. Especially 10-20 years into the future...

The city's leadership must learn to support the officers working for them.
If they choose to stab their own cops in the back, as they have done, this outcome is not surprising.
Cop versus belligerent thug - support the cop, not the thug, regardless of skin colors of everyone involved.

Who would want to be on that police force?

It’s not surprising in the least that they don’t have enough police. Perhaps they should have thought things out a little better in advance.

So the union is suffering from the lack of revenue to the tune of 100 less dues paying members...follow the money.

Legacy of LBJ’s GREAT SOCIETY

Subsidizing illegitimate births

Problem will never go away until women having 3 or more kids by different sperm donors ends

Baltimore City’s Police Union is sounding the alarm because they say the department is in crisis due to the fact that it has too few officers.

Bull Cheese. Baltimore has plenty of police officers. The problem is they have too many thugs who belong in jail and not on the streets.

I wonder if Baltimore has the same percentage of cops as a normal city.

Baltimore could be ‘great again’. It has many beautiful areas and buildings of interest to tourists and scholars. Of course, Ben Carson and Johns Hopkins Medical Facility are incomparable.

A motivated citizenry and competent mayor could solve the crime problem if they really cared.
