Baltimore City’s Police Union is sounding the alarm because they say the department is in crisis due to the fact that it has too few officers.

According to a new report, there are more than 100 fewer Baltimore City PD officers than last year, with the union saying this poses a safety concern as officers are being overworked.

The police union president calls the situation “dire.”

...

You don’t have enough police officers to patrol the streets safely protecting themselves, much less protecting the citizens of Baltimore,” said Lt. Ryan.

Baltimore ended last year with the second highest number of murders per capita in the city’s history.

Bull Cheese. Baltimore has plenty of police officers. The problem is they have too many thugs who belong in jail and not on the streets.

I wonder if Baltimore has the same percentage of cops as a normal city.

Baltimore could be ‘great again’. It has many beautiful areas and buildings of interest to tourists and scholars. Of course, Ben Carson and Johns Hopkins Medical Facility are incomparable.

A motivated citizenry and competent mayor could solve the crime problem if they really cared.

No coincidence then that Baltimore is now getting more crime and less cops.

Only the blind - and liberal elites = can't connect these dots...

She lives not far from the Admiral Fell Inn & used to work at a restaurant called Bertha’s, making cheesecakes. We visited once & walked around the neighborhood with her. There were some drunks & obviously mentally ill folks she was on a first name basis with. She hasn’t told us of any issues, but I doubt she goes out much on her own anymore. Her son lives with her. He no longer carries a wallet as he was robbed at gun-point once. I guess you accept some risks living in an area like that.

It seems the people of Baltimore have finally cut off their noses to spite their faces.

Such a shame.

Yep - other than the inner harbor, right across from the old stadium, it deteriorates quickly in any direction you care to go.

Too bad. Maybe one day the real estate prices will jump so high that only yuppies will be able to afford to live there.
Baltimore was originally settled for good reasons. I hope it gets reclaimed someday.

Like I said to other Baltimore folks, I sure hope that the city is reclaimed someday. It may happen.

I question your moonbat conclusion.

That is based on the fact they don't blame republicans or whites for the mess in Baltimore, moonbats would...
