ritish politician Nigel Farage, who campaigned for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union, will attend President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration this month, Reuters reported Thursday.
Farage, the former leader of the U.K. Independent Party and a vocal Trump backer, will be a guest of Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant (R).
"The governor of Mississippi has invited me and I'm there for a few days and it's going to be a great, historic event," Farage told Sky News.
"In America they've had a political revolution and it's complete; the problem in Britain is our revolution is not complete because the same people are still in charge." After Trump's victory, Farage, who helped lead the "Brexit" movement, said he would help the president-elect form a closer relationship between the U.S. and Britain.
"I would like, formally or informally, to do whatever I can to bring our great nations a bit closer together," he said in an interview on CNN.
"And I just happen to know a few people in his administration. I've clearly got Trump's confidence."
Farage was a passionate supporter of Trump on the campaign trail, stumping for Trump and criticizing Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Both Farage and Trump frequently compared the U.S. election to the U.K.'s vote in June to leave the EU.

Great!
OT OH Britain interfered with our election! /s
Hear! Hear! Best news I’ve heard all day. Now if Bibi also attends, it will be perfect.
Great to have him there. He has a lot more to offer than those Hollywood snowflakes.
Hows abouts if Putin also attends — for some more “Russian interference”.
We shouldn't just borrow Nigel for the inauguration, we should keep him.
Tomorrow Biden has to count the electoral votes in front of a joint session of Congress. Hillary will lose, AGAIN!
Look for House rats to raise objections just like they did in 2000 AND 2004, but unless a Senator joins them they will not be voted on and will cause only minor delay. The same people who tried to game the electors are pushing for challenges.
George Washington was called “Your Excellency” before his Presidency as were (and some at least super-formally still sometimes are) some original state Governors. Foreign diplomatic correspondence also sometimes styles the President “His Excellency”.
John Adams wanted the President styled “His highness, the President of the United States of America, and Protector of the Rights of the Same.”, the reason being he wanted the President’s stature on even footing with foreign monarchs, half of Congress laughed at him at the rest were outraged.
Highness is too monarchical, but “Your Excellency” strikes me as appropriate, so long as a worthy man is in office.
Farage is awesome and I wish we could keep him too.
But he’s really needed in the UK right now to stop the EU globalists who are trying to steal Brexit.
Glad he can come to the party though. I bet he’s a blast to sit and have a pint with!
Maybe he’ll bring the Churchill bust with him!
Agreed. He’s one of the good guys.
I’ve been referring to him as:
“Donald the First, Galactic Emperor and Protector of Western Civilization”
For a while now.
That’s a good one.
“Hillary will lose, AGAIN!”
I’ve almost lost count of the number of times she’s lost, but I’ll give it a go:
1. Lost nomination to Barrack.
2. Lost election to Donald Trump.
3. Lost recounts in MI, WI, PA.
4. Lost the electors’ vote on 12/19/2016.
5. Will lose in Congress tomorrow on 1/6/2017.
Awesome! Hillary has officially lost at least five times!
Read in the past day or 2 that Bibi will be attending the inauguration.
Saw Nigel on FNC or FBC the other day - he seemed very excited about attending the inauguration. I wonder if he and Bibi will in the President’s viewing area for the parade - hope so.
