Youve got to hand it to the Dem-controlled California state legislature: When youre seeking ways to fight back against people who are insisting that federal laws should apply to everyone, look no further than the former chief law enforcement officer in the land under Barack Obama who was found in contempt of Congress:
The California Legislature hired former Attorney General Eric Holder as it prepares for expected battles with President-elect Donald Trumps administration, The New York Times reported Wednesday.
Numerous cities in the state are sanctuary cities, and Democrats have been gearing up to battle Trumps immigration policies that would affect the states more than 2.6 million undocumented residents.
Having the former attorney general of the United States brings us a lot of firepower in order to prepare to safeguard the values of the people of California, Kevin de León, the Democratic leader of the Senate, told The New York Times. This means we are very, very serious.

Good, cut all federal aid to California.
So now instead of *federal laws should apply to everyone, the dems are all about state’s rights?
Fine.
Cut off the federal teat. Let them pay for it themselves.
He should be busy preparing for jail. If I were Trump, he’d be investigated and charged for gun running crimes under “Fast and Furious.”

“safeguard the values of the people of California”
correction: “safeguard the values of illegals of California”
Like most Lefty states California is all about state’s rights when there is a Republican President and all about the Federal Government when there is a Democrat in the White House.
According to them the state values are of a criminal intent and interest.
The Justice Department lawsuit charges that the Arizona law cracking down on illegal immigrants conflicts with federal law, would disrupt immigration enforcement and would lead to police harassment of those who cannot prove their lawful status. Filed in federal court in Arizona, it says the state's measure is unconstitutional and asks a judge to stop it from taking effect.
"The Constitution and the federal immigration laws do not permit the development of a patchwork of state and local immigration policies throughout the country," the lawsuit says.
Eric Holder when he finds out his buds in D.C. have been hustled out the door by Trump time foe CA to pay.
“...who was found in contempt of Congress...”
Is STILL in contempt of Congress.
I would love to see that play out in court. Holder now vs what he ordered at DOJ. Which is why you will only see Holder in court when the judge says “Will the Defendant please rise”.
They still believe that they can get away with anything they try to do or say.
2. Let them know that, if they don't straighten up, the flow of water and electric from the Colorado river is next.
It really is time to let that worthless, rotten, stinking, filthy, commie infested state to whither and die. There is nothing more that the state of commiefornia can offer to the rest of the US.
MORON!
Maybe President Trump should be encouraging Mexico to Formally Charge Holder with the Murders of all those innocent mexicans with the weapons he GAVE THE CARTELS
and then Allow him to be Extradited!!
Very good point.
Jim Robinson lives in CA.
If Justice prosecuted the contempt referal that would pretty much take Holder out.
I'm well aware of this. So we send in a team of highly trained operators to rescue Jim, the Robinson family and Free Republic, let the rotten state burn. Problem solved!
