I joined when Ford was president and retired 4 years ago. No other president has felt the need or lacked the self-awareness to award himself a medal. TFG is such a small man, he has to....has to, because no one else would ever. The Nobel Committee gave him the peace prize preemptively, because they knew he wouldn’t amount to more than the pile of excrement that he is. They were prescient.

It is the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service. For all intents and purposes SecDef gave his boss an award on his way out the door. You just can't make this stuff up.

My concern is that my donations to FR are being wasted on the duplicate threads posted each an every day by alleged FReepers that do not actually READ Free Republic.
Every president for the past 25 years has received the same medal. There are legitimate criticisms of President Obama. This is not one of them.

It seems to be happening a lot more. I bet there are more people cruising through here now that we have a right leaning Prez coming into office. Everyone likes to hang out with the winners I guess. Maybe a lot of people were awakened by this last election cycle. The media was very exposed as was the corruption within the dem party. Maybe a lot of old school dems realized their party left them decades ago and they are now just catching up. Now it’s all fringe groups and militant minorities. I mean that might be fun and cool for people under 25 but for those who actually grow up; not so cool.
Seems like there were mods watching out for duplicate threads and shutting them down but that’s a lot of work and I don’t know how many mods there are these days. Even committing/volunteering two hours a day would require 12 different people per day to keep it cleaned up.
Well, at least he hasn’t had the major boulevard through every rotten black ghetto in the country named after him yet. If you want to know where NOT to go in any city, just avoid MLK Boulevard and you will be fine! Maybe they should start taking King’s name off and putting Obama’s name on. King deserves to be off that hook.
