resident Obama gave a "nostalgic" speech about Obamacare to Democrats on Wednesday, but was light on specific strategies to save it, according to a Democrat in the meeting.
Obama met with House and Senate Democrats Wednesday to reminisce about the law, which Republicans have already started efforts to dismantle.
Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y., told reporters Obama gave a "very nostalgic" speech but said he would leave it up to them to map out a strategy to prevent Republicans from destroying the law. Slaughter also noted Democrats will be united in not working on any replacement.
"We don't even think of replacing the law," she said.
Obama also will continue to advocate for keeping the law after he leaves office, said Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md.
Obama also emphasized that repealing the law without a replacement could create a "climate of uncertainty" in the individual and other insurance markets, Cummings added.
Another important message was to blame Republicans if repeal of the law leads to adverse impacts for people who are now using the law to get insurance coverage.
"Make sure they own it," said Rep. Gerald Connolly, D-Va.
Obama also detailed how Democrats should talk about how to defend Obamacare, and suggested they avoid talking too much about policy, and instead focus on the law's impact.
The president was "basically saying let's not get down into policy language," said Rep. Bill Keating, D-Mass., after the meeting.
Republicans took their first step toward repealing the healthcare law by introducing a budget resolution Tuesday. The resolution, which still needs a vote, would set the spending and budgetary levels for the next decade, and instructs House and Senate committees to draft repeal legislation by Jan. 27.
Republicans plan to use the procedural move known as reconciliation, which lets them pass a bill by a simple majority vote in the Senate rather than the 60 needed to break a filibuster. Republicans blasted Obama's meeting with Democrats as a blatantly partisan maneuver.
"Even in his final days in office he still insists on a partisan approach when reaching out to Congress," said Rep. Greg Walden, R-Ore., chairman of the House Energy & Commerce Committee, in a statement.
Because he can’t...................
He should reminisce with all those who got voted out of office in 2010 because of Obamacare.
I’m curious as to WHO is going to hire this Doofus to do ANYTHING after January 20th.
I’ll be watchin’ you, 0bama!
They don’t expect him to do any real thinking or working do they? If they do, the joke’s on them.

Right-No ‘plan’ to make it fly, and NO plan to save it. The “O” legend in a nutshell!!
“O” is poster boy for: ‘Flake of the Century’
If DJT does what he said he was gonna do and the congressional GOPers get on board, many of these dems are gonna be eating their words.
The President was basically saying, "don't get into the nuts and bolts of Obamacare, because people will figure out that it can't possibly work. Just deal with it on a low-information, emotional and conceptual level, which is what we did when we first rammed it through passed the bill."
Hannity had two PROFESSIONAL web site developers on his TV show. He asked them both how much they might have charged to construct a secure web site that actually functioned: Their TOP figure was around $10 million!! That's much more than one well respected IT firm that offered to do the project FOR FREE!!
Compare those to the estimated $1 BILLION shuttled to Michelles' crony for the Obamacare comouter site; even the most devoted Bonzo worshiper can grasp the magnitude of the CORRUPTION in this on-going CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE!!!
EXHIBIT ONE: a NJ school supt was arrested in the fall of 2010 and charged with 17 counts of bribery, mail fraud and wire fraud.
Authorities say that while serving as NJ high school superintendent, he and his co-conspirator, a Maryland insurance broker, concocted a scheme to inflate school insurance charges and kick back part of the money as bribes.
The two are accused of concealing more than $1 million in bribes from insurance brokers and other service providers. The company, Federal Hill Risk Management, served as the insurance broker for the NJ Regional school district from 1978.
Court documents say the two men spent stolen money on home renovations, watches that cost tens of thousands of dollars, and other personal expenses......and also allegedly bought a girlfriend - also on the school district payroll - a car and other gifts, including money for the college tuition of one of her relatives, according to court papers.
A federal investigation of the insurance broker of Baltimore has to do with NJ municipalities and NJ school plans---he is under state indictment for allegedly bilking $2.6 million from one school district and more than $200,000 from the muni, and was indicted by a federal grand jury.
The broker's son-in-law and a business partner were charged with stealing $216,000 from the NJ muni for a nonexistent wellness program for city workers.
A state grand jury issued an indictment in July charging money laundering, conspiracy, forgery and theft by deception. Authorities said they bilked $2.6 million from the schools over a six-year period.
A third man, of Bernardsville, pleaded guilty to theft by deception and false representation for a government contract in the same scheme targeting the school district.
The co-conspirators are alleged to have lied to the schools insurance carrier, Cigna----they told Cigna that the school board authorized the insurance carrier to pay fees on behalf of the school board from its medical claims bank account for health care related programs and services that never existed, authorities said. That money, stolen from Nov 2003 to July 2009, went into personal bank accounts, the indictment alleges.

EXHIBIT TWO: Judy Rapfogel a 37-year Silver employee---now COS to NY Dim Speaker Sheldon Silver---is under investigation after her husband, William Rapfogel, was fired as CEO of the NY Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty.
Investigators said Mr Rapfogel bought insurance policies for the Met Council at inflated prices and pocketed some of the excess funds as kickbacks....and directed other funds from the insurer to NY political campaigns.
INSURANCE SCAM OF LONG-STANDING---NYT REPORT--Sixteen years ago, Judy Rapfogel, now chief of staff to Democratic Sheldon Silver, ran for the NY City Council---the seat was in Mr. Silvers home district and was unusually heavy on political firepower, especially when compared with Judy Rapfogel's rather modest campaign budget of $160,000.
But among the various campaign expenditures for Council candidate, Judy Rapfogel, was a disproportionate sum spent on a seemingly peripheral need: automobile insurance. The insurance payments accounted for 6 percent of Judy Rapfogels campaigns spending, and cost more than double what the campaign spent to lease the vehicles themselves.
Fast forward to 2013---sixteen years after her losing campaign, a criminal complaint filed against Ms. Rapfogels husband has cast new light on Judy's long-ago insurance payments. Mr. Rapfogel is accused of conspiring for more than 20 years to pad payments from the tax-exempt Met Council (largely subsidized by state, city and fderal taxpayers), to a small Long Island insurance brokerage in exchange for kickbacks from the brokerage.
Century Coverage Corporation, the insurance brokerage at the center of Mr Rapfogel's criminal complaint, is the same one that Judy Rapfogels 1997 campaign paid for unusually large insurance coverage.
A spokesman for Mr. Silver said that Ms. Rapfogel was also not aware that her 1997 campaign had paid Century. The treasurer for Ms. Rapfogels campaign, Freda Fried, did not return calls or e-mails. Ms. Fried is Mr. Rapfogels sister.
Judy Rapfogel has not been implicated in the criminal case against her husband but is now being connected peripherally via the Century Insurance payments for her 1997 campaign.....she has hired a lawyer.
The repeal can say “ACA will be enforced TO-THE-LETTER as DEMOCRATS passed it (without republican support and with republican warnings predicting almost exactly how it turned out) until a replacement is passed. No executive waivers, exemptions, or additional funding moved from other programs”.
Let democrats own what they passed until they’re willing to get on board with a solution. Ds had provisions in that have now expired since they needed to get past 2016 and needed the 10-year budget projects to look good enough. They know things will only get worse now that those provisions are gone and insurers see that no help is coming and Ds will not want to own it for the 2018 elections.
Republicans can then work on the replacement and keep inviting Ds to join and pointing out that the ACA is a disaster created entirely by Ds. If Ds keep the replacement from being passed they own what we have.
Stompy foot gotta stomp! ...
There are plenty of fools willing to be parted with their $.
There is no save for Obamacare, or else it would have already been applied.
In May 1940, there was a recently opened toll bridge bridge over the Tacoma Narrows, that had shown some disturbing characteristics, in that when winds would blow along the river’s length, an oscillation would set up in the bridge structure. A particularly strong gale had blown up on the morning of November 7, 1940, and some very violent movements of the bridge structure would tilt the road surface to an inclination of some 45 degrees from the horizontal. Well before this, the bridge was closed to further traffic, but there was still one car out on the middle span, which the driver had abandoned. There are several very good motion pictures of the self-destruction of the bridge, ending with much of the center span collapsing into the river below.
The state of Obamacare is very much like those last hours of “Galloping Gertie”, as the bridge had been nicknamed before its imminent collapse.
Bridges are now designed taking these factors into consideration.

I remember seeing those films.
Oscillations due to resonance of the bridge with surrounding environment................

Pence: We Want Obamacare Repeal on Trump’s Desk By February 20

Reports: President-Elect Trump To Issue Executive Orders That Will Help Roll Back Obamacare On Day One
Demonstrating, once again, that Obama is really not into work. He wants to hang out, be the center of attention, and have his ego stroked. Work? Not really into that. That’s the hallmark of the last 8 years of Obama.
Outside of Obamacare, which Democrats lusted for and did all the work, what legislation does Obama have to his name? Nothing. A whole lot easier to wave a pen and a phone and sign things through executive fiat that to build consensus and legislative support.
Obama is plain lazy.
