EIT SHEMESH, Israel — When Daniel Oritz moved to Israel from Venezuela , his first meal was a bowl of chicken soup. He took one spoonful and began to cry.
For him, the soup signified an escape from the poverty and deprivation he has experienced for more than two years.
“We were very hungry,” said Oritz, who moved in November. “There was no meat, no sugar, no pasta.”
Venezuela’s economic crisis is so severe that citizens must wait in lines for hours at grocery stores to buy basic staples, or pay exorbitant prices on the black market. Some have even died of basic illnesses because of a shortage of medical supplies.
Tens of thousands have left the country, including a growing number of Venezuelan Jews who have relocated to Israel.

He will bring them home from ythe four corners of the earth.
They will show their gratitude to the great nation of Israel by learning Hebrew and their young will carry arms in the defense of their new and wonderful nation.
I lived in Venezuela in the 70s. It was a wonderful nation then but with many faults. It will recover at a great price to its people. It will be violent, very violent. Much blood will be shed.
Very sorry for the Venezuelan people, but there is also a message in this.
Spanish speaking Jews? Move the UN to Israel. They can represent every country.
Don’t move it anywhere.

Seems as I recall, the people of Venezuela voted for Socialist Chavez and his hand picked successor Maduro more than once. Looks like they are getting what they voted for.
Finally, some immigrants and refugees the Left can hate.
Their oil company employer sent a biz jet to a nearby airport without notice.
They left all their possessions but saved their lives.

It seems a shame that it took poverty that grinding to make them want to go.
It probably won’t be opposition from Christians, but help from Christians, that will speed this.
Ancient prophecies being fulfilled in our day. Amazing.
What in God’s name were they doing there to begin with?
A number of Latin American countries took in Jewish refugees before and during WW2. My friend Ruth ended up in Boliviare when she couldn’t get into the US or Cuba (the SS St. Louis was not allowed to dock there and was forced to return to Germany where the passengers were killed. Thank the anti-Semitic U.S. State Department for that and other anti-Jewish actions).
Ruth told me proudly that Spanish was her second language, not English, which she learned years later after immigrating to the U.S.
The anti-Semitic State Department was a prime mover in denying efforts by European Jews fleeing Hitler from getting into the US and Cuba. Other Latin American countries bravely let many in and saved thousands of lives, despite efforts by resident German Nazis and sympathizers to prevent it.

I’m sorry for those who had Chavez shoved down their throats, as for the rest of them they brought this all on themselves and their countrymen. The fact that nobody has put a bullet in Maduro’s head shows what a feckless nation it is.
Not really being sincere about believing their ancestral promise... that’s what they were doing there.
They are going to get starved and persecuted out of some places.
Other places, like the USA, will help them go to Israel (Christians will do this).
Ah man, it seems such a puzzling mystery.
But people will put up with virtually anything if anarchy is the other choice.
About 10 years ago I was praying and received a word from the Lord. The message was “go home... to Israel.” Though it was unclear to me if it really was from God when after I told my folks about it they pretty much laughed it off. Not literally but you know, the gist was that since I’m not a deeply religious church-going follower like they are, I couldn’t possibly get a prompt like that from God himself. I’m not Jewish, never been there and so I didn’t understand why it would be called “home” and I should be there. Then I found out paternal greats were Jewish with a last name change upon entering US. But we can’t trace anyone back to the land of Israel. Just wondering if any other Christians have a thought about it.
