Milo’s ‘Dangerous’ shoots to Amazon top slot; Liberal celebrities’ support of boycott backfires
The Washington Times ^ | December 30, 2016 | Douglas Ernst

Simon & Schuster’s decision to publish a book by Breitbart News’ Milo Yiannopoulos appears to be paying off with retailer Amazon despite calls from liberal celebrities for a boycott.

Mr. Yiannopoulos announced Thursday that he was given a $250,000 contract by publishing giant Simon & Schuster. His pronouncement that irate critics only fuel his fame did not dissuade Hollywood entertainers like Sarah Silverman and Judd Apatow from joining calls for a boycott. “Dangerous” shot to the No. 1 slot on the U.S. Amazon Best Seller list less than 24 hours later.

“In response to this disgusting validation of hate, we will not cover a single @simonschuster book in 2017,” Chicago Review of Books tweeted Thursday.

Everything is fundamentally based on “faith’ (religion). We all have “assumptions” (faith). The Marxist meme—that there can be a separation of Faith and Reason—is false. Totally irrational since everyone is promoting a faith, no matter what topic.

Promotion of sodomy in any form is a promoting of Lucifereanism (or Marxism (divide the sexes)—a faith. To “think”, that the concept of “sin” (evil) is not appropriate in any discussion, is irrational.

Wisdom is discerning Good and Evil (Cicero) and it is Good and Evil that differentiates what we do or don’t do, what we think, or don’t think.

It is the basis of Life-—Good and Evil (”Sin” is just the Christian term used for evil that defy God’s Design and God’s Will (Reason).

“Sin” is the word purposely banned by Marxists so they could normalize evil (sin) and use psychology to make evil into good. No talk of “sin” allowed in the public square although the concept of slavery was eradicated by Christians because of the concept of “sin” (evil), which is essential for Wisdom. There is a Reason why slavery was ended only by the Christian worldview based on “sin”.

Sin is not only evil, it is irrational (nihilism, like sodomy). To promote any evil lifestyle like Milo does, is evil (sin). And since Good and Evil is the fundamental “reason” we do anything, “sin” should NEVER be banned from the public square since Christianity created the Age of Reason and Modern Science. Censoring the word “sin” should never be allowed.

Can’t HE be conservative without having to comment about his sex life?

It’s not like we threw a lasso over him and pulled him out of the closet.

Milo is a self-described "practicing gay Catholic" (practicing gay, don't know about practicing Catholic) so, he knows it's not just "between him and God." If that were so, it would have been utterly pointless and redundant for Christ to found the Church.

Milo is a cultural libertarian, promoting do as you choose and leave me alone.
If it were the 1980s, he’s be liberal/Democrat.
Because of the authoritarian left trying to demand ideological conformity of all members (and assigning acceptable beliefs to various groups plus demanding they act/dress/speak per a stereotype), he is on the conservative side that says “we want to do what we want, you leave us alone”.

This. Exactly.

It wasn’t so long ago that the Never Trumpers at NR anointed themselves the sole arbiters of how conservatism was to be defined. In their search for ideological purity, they gave us David French and Egg McMuffin.

Mark Levin threw himself on the sword of ideological purity and the search for perfection. How many of us are still tuning in to Levin?

I too have abandoned the search for perfection. It gets us nowhere. We end up dismissing good people out of hand.

Milo fills a unique niche. And how many conservative speakers have the guts to go in college campuses these days? He’s different and appeals to some people who would never have heard the conservative message if not for Milo and his “Schlick”.

"OUR" side? Sodomy apologists are NOT on my side. I can't speak for anyone else ...

That's right. You can't.

Just as Trump is far from perfect, yet manages to get things done which benefit our side, so does Milo.

For me, I will side with Milo against the Dems, and will refrain from attacking him over how he gets his jollies.

While the type of sin is different, anyone who battles food addiction or alcohol-—or yes, even exercise addition-—knows that ultimately “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

I personally have a computer addiction, and a sub-addiction to FR.

Don’t forget how David Brock started out.

It's just that Milo is orders of magnitude more intellectually gifted than Brock could ever dream of being.

He’s on our side on only one issue- Trump. For everything else he’s on the other side.

Your post demonstrates that you have never listened to him.

Hard to say. I was surprised at the number of persons I thought were conservatives turned out to be Hillary supports, such as Ralph Peters. Then again, there were numerous reports that Trump is running only to help Hillary, that he is a Democratic plant, etc.

Speaking of David Brock...for those who didn’t carefully study the Podesta emails it will be a stunner to know that Podesta and some other Clinton staffers believed Brock was a mole sent to embarrass them.

I have no clue whether this is true or not, but if it is...Mission Accomplished! :-)
