Milo’s ‘Dangerous’ shoots to Amazon top slot; Liberal celebrities’ support of boycott backfires
The Washington Times ^ | December 30, 2016 | Douglas Ernst

Simon & Schuster’s decision to publish a book by Breitbart News’ Milo Yiannopoulos appears to be paying off with retailer Amazon despite calls from liberal celebrities for a boycott.

Mr. Yiannopoulos announced Thursday that he was given a $250,000 contract by publishing giant Simon & Schuster. His pronouncement that irate critics only fuel his fame did not dissuade Hollywood entertainers like Sarah Silverman and Judd Apatow from joining calls for a boycott. “Dangerous” shot to the No. 1 slot on the U.S. Amazon Best Seller list less than 24 hours later.

“In response to this disgusting validation of hate, we will not cover a single @simonschuster book in 2017,” Chicago Review of Books tweeted Thursday.

Look ... If I ever start publicly wallowing in my sins, start making a living off of proclaiming them to be good ...

PLEASE...

do me a favor and call me out on it.

Infiltration of the political right-the termites come in and weaken the foundations, to topple the edifice once it’s rotted from the inside out.

That picture should say it all. How can supposed conservatives support that?

Attempting to banish God from the public square is normally a strategy of the left. It’s a bit odd to see supposed conservatives on a supposedly conservative forum doing it

Right. LOL! I am "banishing God" because I pointed out that you brought up "sin" on a "News/Activism" thread that has nothing to do with sin or religion. And this isn't the public square. There is a forum on this very website where you can discuss sin all you want. It isn't relevant to this discussion. You are just trying to trash, for whatever lame personal reason, a conservative warrior who actually goes out there and puts it on the line in front of some really dangerous people.

And I remain skeptical that his dislike of feminism (which I share) is not a cover for general woman hatred.

Amen to that, and I totally oppose the feminist agenda, to the point of not agreeing that it was necessarily a good thing that women got the vote.

Can we be conservatives without having to comment about his sex life? He is doing conservatism a huge service by impacting the culture and lack of free speech on college campuses! Huge! I do give a rats a$$ who he sleeps with!

Women don’t deserve the vote. Until they grow up and vote responsibly, they shouldn’t be allowed. With a few exceptions, perhaps, but I’d gladly give it up.

I guess today’s crop of hollyweirds never saw “Bachelor In Paradise “, which has scene of a writer-in-hiding (played by Bob Hope) eagerly signs a petition to ban one of his books... knowing such stupidity is maximum stupidity.

Well, if he stopped talking about it for a minute we could do as you say.

Nobody has done more to expose the liberal hypocrisy than that dangerous faggot, Milo.

I really do not care for Milo or appreciate his schtick. That said, you are correct that he blindsides the left with their own idiotic reality.

I agree. Unfortunately, it was the female vote which brought the nanny state to the forefront.

You are a sinner as well, buttercup!

I love Milo and his faith and how he lives is between him and God! Not him and “ the arrogant righteous” and God.

I understand how he doesn’t appeal to many traditional conservatives because of this. I’ve come to the conclusion that he may be overtly inflating his “gayness” so that it shields him from being labeled a stereotypical “right winger”. Same goes for the “fact” that he prefers black guys and won’t shut up about it, so you can’t call him a “racist homophobe”.

Of course it’s hard to prove but if anyone were aware of the consequences of the gay lifestyle it would be Milo. I saw him on a show with Boy George, both being asked about being gay. BG basically said he loved it as it provides him sexual opportunities he wouldn’t otherwise have. Milo said he wouldn’t wish “being gay” on anyone, he would prefer not to be.

There’s more to this guy than what you see on the surface. In listening to his lectures, once you scrape past the gay antics, there’s usually a very serious message at the core - and he’s spot on too. I enjoy listening to him, he’s able to reach an audience I’ve seen no other conservative able to influence. He’s very much on our side, if he goes over the top a bit and it works, so what imo. God uses the most unlikely characters, always has....not for me to judge. I just hope he lives a life that enables longevity.

Without commenting about his sex life? When his whole shtick is about it, to the point of having pictures of young boys in “erotically suggestive” poses behind his speaking podium? Do we embrace a pedophile who “supports conservatism” (what conservatism?) ?

He never shuts up about his sex life!

I agree. I believe that the conservative movement hurt itself by always insisting on “perfect conservatives”, otherwise rejecting them. We’re not all going to agree and we’re all imperfect.

ROFL!!!

Thank you for demonstrating my point. You deny attempting to banish God from the public square ... and then proceed in the very next sentence to attempt banishing God from the public square.

Yes, boy ... I'm laughing AT you.

Yes, a lot of conservatives really do just want to go down with the ship.
