Russian hackers tied to recent cyberattacks on U.S. political organizations breached a Vermont utility, the Washington Post reported Friday.
A code associated with the Russian hacking operation aimed at the U.S. presidential election, which the intelligence community has named Grizzly Steppe, was detected within the Vermont system.
The Russians did not disrupt electrical operations, officials told the Post.
According to the Burlington Free Press, the city-owned Burlington Electric was the target of the hack.
Vermont Public Service Commissioner Christopher Recchia said malware was discovered on a laptop that was not connected to the grid's operations.
"The grid is not in danger," Recchia said. "The utility flagged it, saw it, notified appropriate parties and isolated that one laptop with that malware on it. . ."

This is front page above the fold at Washington Post:
The press will print whatever Obama wants.
Or it is real malware and a false flag.
Sure they did. Putin personally came to my house and turned off my electricity.(just kidding)
They are just trying to make it sound plausible that the Russians hacked the US elections to help Trump.
They must think that most of the American people are complete idiots and will believe them.
The veracity of this story is highly syspect.>>> Let’s say some one ran the yara and the signature for the apt28 and/or apt29 showed up. What this actually means is that some idiot government employee opened a phishing email and installed malware on his laptop which then propagating itself unto the utility computer systems.
LOL. WaPo gives us an anonymous source.
Fake News, indeed.
Veracity is multidimensional ... really ... I've been thinking about that.
Here's my model scenario.
Head Honcho asks his Minions, "Did the Russians hack us? I think you should check it out." ( already a hint. ) Minions check it out and say ( taking the hint ) "We can't find anything." Honcho says, "maybe you aren't looking hard enough." So now Minions really get the message. "OK, we did find some things that might be it."
Then THAT'S IT! The Russians did hack us! .. a full and careful investigation has revealed!
Now the Russians are for Bernie?
I believe them, but what I don’t believe is they were targeted
If you read their profile, they were trying to attack everyone who is stupid enough to click their links.
They were sending thousands of mails, anywhere they can find an email address.
These guys were looking to make mass money.
Malware was just on a laptop...unconnected to the Electric Grid.
Repeat: Electric Grid was NOT hacked:

How did the Ruskies make it look like DHS was hacking Georgia’s election computers?
AlReutuersButtociatedPressABCDisneyNews et al didn’t care to ask if Hillary’s unsecured State Department server/washroom was hacked and if so, which nations did the hacking and what state secrets might they have obtained.
“WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE AT THIS PARTICULAR TIME ANYHOW?!!!”

Yet Washington Post is running this foolishness on their front page.
Know what? It seems if there were no Russians or any other conceivable ‘enemies’, some would be deliberately created and produced just to scare us, keep us paranoid, discuss and fall in line.
It seems that the antivirus program on one of the computers at the facility found something and quarantined it.
Uh, most likely an employee was viewing Russian porn at the time. Same way Hillary’s computer was “hacked.”
I have it on good authority that the eviiiil ruskies are using alien technology. To change the weather. and do mind control. and hack things.
It’s true!
Heck got hacked by russians myself about 8 years ago. Reported it here. Was a group in Denver. They were nabbed by the FBI. Just because you was hacked by Russians, it dont mean you was hacked by the Russian government. They were just a gang of theives.
