Honolulu’s Café 8 ½ gets rave reviews on Yelp for its “Radiatore Verde” and “Italian stir fry,” among other popular dishes at the eclectic mom-and-pop restaurant – but the response to its new 'policy' barring pro-Trump patrons has been decidedly more mixed.
A bright yellow, handmade sign posted on the restaurant's front glass door declares: “If you voted for Trump you cannot eat here! No Nazis.”
A photo of the sign was shared with FoxNews.com. One also is proudly posted on the café’s Facebook page, and was “liked” by some 40 people.
“…The next time you're in Honolulu, eat lunch here, not only are they on the right side of things, the food is delicious and reasonable,” one Facebook user wrote next to the photo.
Others aren’t so charmed.
Honolulu resident and Donald Trump voter Susan Roberts told FoxNews.com she found the sign in “extreme poor taste.”
“It's childish and very unprofessional,” she said in an email. “… The restaurant owner doesn't have to worry ... I will not be stepping foot in that establishment.”
Willes Lee, former chairman of the Hawaii Republican Party and now president of National Federation of Republican Assemblies, told FoxNews.com the sign is discriminatory, and harkens back to “racist and hate-filled” days before statehood.
“Remember when Filipinos couldn't go in certain places, or Japanese wouldn't be allowed [in] many homes? And, it didn't matter who they voted for,” said Lee, who is of Japanese descent.

This crap is plain crazy, unless you have a hat or T Shirt on that proclaims you are a Trump voter, no one will know. It is none of their business any way, if you run a business for profit the fastest way to close it down is to serve bad food and have bad service. You have few choices in who chooses to eat in your place of business, under state laws. Shoes, shirt are requirements for health reasons.
They just make themselves targets for us to boycott. Hope you enjoy the lack of business and bankruptcy your stupidity brings you. Did you not learn from Target’s loss of Billions because of their allowing men in women’s dressing rooms and bathrooms? If the snowflakes who don’t know what gender they are feel unsafe, find a single use bathroom with a dead bolt on the door.
Remember the Chik-Fil-A outrage that came when libs found out they supported traditional marriage. They did not refuse to serve anyone, but Boston and Chicago mayors wanted CFA barred from their cities.
These are not good people. They are going to try and turn up the heat on all of us. We better be aware and fight back.
“Go in. Order a large meal. Wait until it’s delivered, then say: “Oh, I’m sorry! I just remembered I voted for Trump and I’m not allowed to eat here!””
Go in with a party of 10, order the most expensive things on the menu and when the food comes, break out the Trump 2020 campaign poster and start discussing Trump’s reelection.
If you are going to go over the top, might as well do it right.
Liberal establishments that do custom work (like cake decorating ), should be inundated with orders for “We Love Trump” or similar.
Oh how I wish some idiot business where I live would do this! I would get a t-shirt printed up specifically for it. I VOTED FOR TRUMP, above an American Flag! The off to that restaurant or business. Just hoping and praying they would throw me out!
Does the restaurant have a window? Does Hawaii have bricks?
Legally, discrimination against certain sexual classes is illegal. Political classes are not protected.

Actually, political affiliation is not covered. Race, religion, ethnicity, age, sex, orientation, disability, and even genetic code are covered. Political orientation is not.
Totally true. For years, CNN in Atlanta has told applicants “We don’t hire Republicans.” Totally legal.
You have to be a hypocrite to be a liberal. For example:
1. Abortion (taking the life of an innocent) should be a constitutional right, while the Death Penalty (taking the life of the guilty) should be unconstitutional;
2. Burning the American flag is freedom of speech, while simply displaying the Confederate flag is “hate” speech;
3. The belief that there is a “rape culture” on campus, as most men are potential rapists, while also believing that men (who ostensibly identify as women) should be allowed to use women’s public rest rooms and public showers;
4. The belief that we should not “jump to conclusions” that an obviously terrorist act is an act of terrorism” before all the facts are in, while also believing that any developing story about an alleged attack on a Muslim is immediately considered an act of “right wing extremism” or a “Trump supporter”;
5. The belief, before Nov. 8, 2016, that Trump is outrageous for claiming that the election could be “rigged”, while also believing that, after Nov. 8, 2016, the election was “rigged”;
6. The belief that Trump’s refusal to say before Nov. 8, 2016, that he would not challenge the results of the election was a “direct threat to our democracy” as Hillary said, while also believing it is their patriotic duty to challenge the results of the election after Nov. 8, 2016;
7. The belief that saying “black lives matter” is ok and race-neutral, while also believing that saying “all lives matter” is racist;
8. The belief that cigarettes should be illegal, while believing that marijuana should be legalized;
9. The belief that more gun laws making it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to own guns will keep guns out of the hands of criminals and terrorists;
10. The belief that all criticism and disagreement with George W. Bush was patriotic, as Hillary screamed, but that criticism and disagreement with Barack Hussein Obama is racist.
11. The belief that a bakery should be forced, against their religious beliefs, to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple, while believing that its ok for a restaurant owner to deny service to anyone whom he believes voted for Trump or for entertainers to refuse to perform at the Trump inauguration;
12. The belief that colleges and universities should prepare students for the real world, while believing that those same students should have safe-rooms, coloring books and crayons when they suffer micro-aggressions and are confronted with harsh realities;
13. The belief that so-called “Sanctuary Cities” can ignore federal laws regarding immigration, while also believing that cities and States can be sued by the federal government if they pass voter i.d. laws that the feds disagree with;
14. The belief that it was ok when Obama patted Russian president, Medvedev, on the leg and whispered that he should tell Vlad (Putin) that he (Obama) would have more flexibility after the election in 2012, while also believing that Trump having any relationship with Putin is disastrous.
I saw many stories like this from OUR side when Obama was re-elected. One was a business owner who went through his parking lot noting Obama bumper stickers. He had to lay people off due to Obamacare and he chose to lay off the Obama voters.
I totally agreed with a lot of these stories, so I will not attack the misguided liberals for this. It’s their business and they should be able to deny service to anyone. Also, would any of us want to eat at a place where food might be tampered with?
That is one thing I have never seen with our side, we don’t tamper with food, destroy property or attack people for beliefs.
These retards are damn lucky that Trump voters are NOT Nazis, because if we were, these a**holes would have already been dispatched.
