This is what nondiscrimination actually looks like. It’s when you hire the best person for the job, regardless of colour, race, etc. It is not when you hire someone for the job based on their colour, race, etc.
I don’t know why this isn’t pointed out more when criticism comes their way.

I was just reflecting on this point as I drove around on my errands today listening to Rush Limbaugh's substitute host today. Mark Belling was talking about how many of these cabinet picks don't need the gig. They are in it to make a difference and serve their country.
I noted that in the typical Democratic Administration, "virtue signaling"--by checking off the Diversity boxes-- is more important than picking people of ability.
