Jerry Brown: California to Bypass Trump on Climate Change

California Gov. Jerry Brown has suggested that the State of California could bypass the administration of President Donald J. Trump and work directly with foreign governments in advancing the cause of climate change, the New York Times reports.

Last May, Gov. Brown signed a climate change deal between twelve regional and provincial governments in seven countries, committing to reduce the “greenhouse gases” that trap heat in the earth’s atmosphere and are thought to drive global warming. The aim was to show that California was committed to tackling the issue, even if Congress and the courts were not prepared to rubber-stamp President Barack Obama’s aggressive climate change agenda. He also played a prominent role at the Paris climate change talks last December (prompting speculation as to whether he was still clinging to presidential ambitions).

The Constitution outlaws states working with foreign governments.

Rock on there moonbeam. Knock yourself out. No, really. Sounds like someone's been dipping into the coke bowl again. This would be an issue if it were actually an issue. About as much validity as kwanzaa. Will calibfornia ever recover? Doubtful.

***The economy of California is the largest in the United States. As of 2015, California's gross state product (GSP) is about $2.496 trillion. The state's GSP grew 4.1% in 2015.

***SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — New data from the World Bank show that California's economy was equivalent to the sixth largest in the world last year. ... The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis reported last month that California's GDP was $2.5 trillion in 2015, up 4.1 percent from a year earlier.Jul 5, 2016

I don't think that California ha$ a problem with Trump. Trump will $ee the value of the $tate'$ income and will DEAL with Governor Moonbeam and, er, make him an offer he won't refuse.

Or, don't you think that President-elect Trump knows how to wheel and deal with the egotists, stubborn-donkeys and elitists of the world? I have FULL confidence in him because he is our TRUMP CARD!!!!

I think the Constitution specifically prohibits the several states from carrying on their own foreign policy...

CLIMATE CHANGE RUINS TRUCKING INDUSTRY

California climate Nazis have ruined the trucking industry. Semi trucks are equipped with ineffective, expensive smog trash. The National DOT has mandated harmful, scientifically illiterate junk to move our products.

The DOT hurts children. The trucking industry is a mess.

Many trucking companies are in ruins.

Yeah until it triggers the largest horde of locusts of all time destroying their way across the Sierra Nevada desperate to make us a 100% blue state too...crickey nearly half the restaurants in town already serve only Kale, and they practically give away those atrocious horn rimmed glasses to all dirty stinking hipster chicks at the borders

OK, Jerry the Moonbeam, but there won’t be enough money for the “bullet train” from nowhere to nowhere.

Bullet train is dead. A ghost track in the desert. Read yesterday that Congress for once showed that they are smarter than turnips unlike Maxine Watters said they would not loan California $15 B for this fantasy. It's dead. No money to build the Desert Express. Congress saved us.

Watching California die as America thrives could be the antidote to California style liberalism.

Too bad it will take a decade or more.

“..Jerry gonna ‘bypass’ that Federal Money, too?...”

Yeah, let us see how well this works for the lawless Moonbeam and his Illegal Alien Nanny State. Maybe all those bums and losers on the streets that he supports for votes will not be happy when the feds pull those big bucks that Taxifornia takes and spends on buying votes.

California can do whatever it wants. When they impose their will on the rest of the country, they can go to heck.

Trump is not like traditional Republican leadership. He will not roll over and play dead for the democrats.

^^^^^This! Some are treating Trump as if he weren't a strong President. They still think of him as how they did when he first announced.......big mistake! heh heh heh

Kamala Harris, Moonbeam’s former AG, just got elected to the Senate. Her new husband is a huge California litigator. Just watch and see what this power couple try to go to Trump, with the blessing of this idiot CA governor and other like minded Democrats.
I look forward to them going up against Rick Perry. Moonbeam hates Perry because he was in CA recruiting many companies to move to Texas.
We are grateful we escaped from CA when we did.
