CHICAGO -- More than 60 people were shot over the holiday weekend, 11 of them fatally.
One of the most recent shootings left two teenage girls injured, one critically.
It happened just after 11:30 p.m. Monday outside of Leland Giants Park. The 14-year-old was with a 13-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy in a van. The 13-year-old's father had just left the van to speak with someone in a nearby house when two people came up and fired shots into the vehicle, police said.
While the 13-year-old sustained a graze wound and is in stable condition, the 14-year-old was shot in the back and is in critical condition at Comer Children's Hospital. The 2-year-old was unharmed, police said.

Let’s see if I have this right. It’s 11:30 at might. I am in bed and asleep already. Tough day at the malls fighting for those great deals. You take three young kids to go to a house and talk to someone. Why didn’t you use your Obama phone and call. That would have been the environmentally friend action to take.

Doesn’t matter, black lives taken by black lives are inconsequential to almost everyone outside the circle of family and friends. Those claiming to be black leaders don’t care, the media doesn’t care, Barack Obama certainly doesn’t care. The dead are gone and forgotten because they were never known even in life. Black lives taken by white cops are nothing but political pawns and for that reason only, publicized.

I am glad to see the cops have backed off just like Obama and his clique wanted. The cops are safer and the south side neighborhoods are allowed to patrol themselves. That way the carnage is limited to those areas and the cops go home safe and sound at night. Mission accomplished Barack.
