I wonder how the Oakbrook Mall & Yorktown malls are faring. They are both located a bit too far from Aurora, so should be doing just fine. Here in St Auggie, Florida we have a nice indoor mall with many high-end stores (great place to hang out on hot & muggy days) and an outlet mall with 84 stores representing every brand name one can think of. Both malls are un-crowded, plenty of parking, and no unruly teens.

I'm in constant touch with freepers and relatives who live near these malls. So far so good.

They are protected by being in the bosom of affluent, conservative Republican suburbs with not much industry and low-rent districts around them such as is the case with Fox Valley.

This could all change overnight, of course, but I doubt it. I'll keep you informed
