BEACHWOOD, Ohio - The Beachwood mall is on lockdown as police respond to an incident.
Authorities would not elaborate on what happened, only saying the mall was on lockdown.
A Nordstrom employee told News 5 the mall was placed on lockdown around 6:45 p.m.
Videos posted to social media show people running through the mall.
This is a developing story. News 5 will update as more information becomes available.
Just read a news account. It was another one of those teen mob things, and, again, they only arrested one person. Which makes me angry. They chased the kids out. They should have arrested every single one of them. This scofflaw behavior needs to be stopped.
Very high end mall in one of Clevelands wealthiest neighborhoods...really quite sad. It’s about about a 15 minute ride from where we live in Mentor.
The last time I went to “The Mall” was the last time I’ll go to “The Mall”.
That is a good point about socialization for your little one. Also the exposure to (if they still do it) the decorations at Christmas time. I have fond memories of the malls back in the 70s and 80s all done up for the season. I was a kid then, and the mall was useful in learning independence as a young shopper. But my mom would probably be arrested for letting a twelve-year old wander the mall as I did back then!

I didn’t think they had Boxing Day sales in the US. I thought it was was only Canada and the UK. Usually ours are not that violent.

Not obvious, but "pretty well" is just another phrase for "giving up a little freedom" for "a little safety."
And then we deserve neither, and eventually, we will have forfeited the right ever to have any choice at all.
Malls, movies and newspapers. I wouldn’t go the grocery store if I wasn’t hooked on food.
