Captain Or Ben-Yehuda of the Israeli Defense Forces has cemented a legacy that will endure well past her lifetime. The young, decorated IDF Captain was in charge of a company of soldiers when they were violently attacked by nearly two dozen terrorists near the Egyptian border.
Due to her leadership and bravery, she and her men were able to survive.

When you think about it, the REAL WORLD female badasses don’t get any credit since every single police procedural (or government agent, etc.) would have you believe that not only is every single female in the organization red hot but is more badass than any one else and can kick guys’ butts while applying their lipstick using a compact as a deadly weapon.
Real women like this are rare and wonderful for that rareness.

I agree, the headline is (deliberately?) misleading a company strength unit of the Israeli army fought of a terrorist attack the commanding officer was this lady.
FWIW: They are a border guard unit, not front line combat troops. She was badly wounded during the engagement.
There’s a difference. Women in the IDF aren’t tainted by western feminism. They also carry their own gear.
LOL! I was on the same wavelength when I saw that photo, but I was thinking more along the lines of “Aliens” when Hicks gives Ripley a crash course on how to operate his 9mm caseless assault rifle, complete with flame thrower and grenade launcher. Excellent.
The credit should go to the entire “company” and not just Capt. Ben-Yehuda just because she’s female. Or at least not single her out. Respect to her for being there in the first place though!
