The festivities will begin Jan. 19 at Arlington National Cemetery, where Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence will lay a wreath, followed by a "welcome concert" at the Lincoln Memorial.
On Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, Trump and Pence will be sworn in at the U.S. Capitol and will attend an Inaugural Parade on Pennsylvania Avenue.
That evening Pence and Trump will attend the inaugural balls.
General public viewing areas for inauguration-goers without tickets will be available at both the Lincoln Memorial welcome celebration and the Inaugural Parade.
The weekend will end with the National Prayer Service at Washington National Cathedral Jan. 21.

I hope there are no Hollyweirdos, and that REAL Americans will be featured.
If there were ONLY military bands, choirs, and choruses, that would actually be better because it would keep the focus on the serious business of America’s Restoration and Patriots’ Resolve, and at the same time, educate any whackos who may viewing the proceedings. I bet the only traditional patriotic song they know is the Star Spangled Banner.

As for the lack of A-list celebs, screw them. If I were on the committee, I would reach out to schools and colleges in all 50 states and bring choirs and bands from them to do all the work. Let them do the national anthem as well.
How about we set up a huge sound system and blast songs from every snot-nosed act that declined to participate and let them stroke out over it. After all, they are not planning to be kind to us for the next four years. Screw ‘em...use their music and don’t pay them a dime.

My friends and I are holding a “kick him in the ass” party. Once hour before inauguration, we’re playing a blindfold game, pin the boot on the ass, winner to receive a bottle of champagne. Thirty minutes before, we’re going to do a dramatic reading of that wonderful tirade that someone has been posting daily here in freepublic, counting down Obama’s last minutes. For Song that Cheer You Up, I have one recommendation for now, It’s called “Song Wagon” sung by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. It’s bouncy, and very corny, but still kind of fun with that harmonica lighting up the trail.
I share your concern. Trump has required security for many years. I’m sure his people are aware of the need and have taken care of it amply.
