Baby, It’s Cold Outside (and How to Defend Yourself from Date Rape)
American Thinker ^ | December 24, 2016 | Jeremy Egerer

One thing that seems to have escaped feminists' notice in the controversy over "Baby, it's cold outside" is that the song is a duet. Perhaps never in the history of rape or music or music about raping people has anyone ever toured with her rapist for the express purpose of singing about being raped. This is for two reasons. The first is that singing about it would be painful for the woman, and the second is that it would be dangerous for the man.

What feminists have completely mistaken about the entire thing (aside from the fact that it was written by Frank Loesser to perform with his wife at parties) is that the no expressed by the woman in the song was obviously given with a smile and wink. These days, no is taken by our leftists as a statement forged in iron, as though when a woman says it, she means it with every ounce of her heart – as though she were so dull and so blank that there were only one thing left on her mind.

But what we know about women (as well as our men) is that they are far too complex to mean only no and yes in any situation where they want to do multiple things.

I discussed this with my wife and she told me she identified with the song. There were times when she wanted to be convinced to stay.

Historically, “no” often meant “not yet”, or “you need to reassure me that this will be the start of a relationship”, and it was up to the guy to use his psychic powers to figure out what the deal was.

If I had taken “no” for a permanent answer, I wouldn’t be married now.

So there is no mention of rape and murder? I guess BLM and white haters are behind this or traction.

It’s a seduction song. He is trying to persuade her to stay, she vacillates.
I love how she has a family who actually cares where she will be.

Not sure it’s a Christmas song apart from the cold weather.

Feminists or feminazis? I’ll buy the latter are having a cow about the song. They’re so freaking joyless.

It has a nice melody but I would never consider it a Christmas song.

If this new version had been sung by LGBTBBQBLT performers I might have thought it worthy of the attention it has gotten in the media. Buggers!

"No" means NO and we've been told for all eternity that it is a woman's prerogative to change her mind (so don't bother recalling that a woman ever said no before saying yes).

pre·rog·a·tive
prəˈräɡədiv/
noun
1. a right or privilege exclusive to a particular individual or class.
"owning an automobile was still the prerogative of the rich"
synonyms: entitlement, right, privilege, advantage, due, birthright
"it's my prerogative to hold on to the farm"

LOL! I'd never heard of those two until I saw Keanu. That's a hoot! My favorite traditional version is this one...

Try playing that song in January and see if you don’t get some strange looks.

‘’Maybe just a cigarette more’

From an older time, but she definitely is the decision maker in this song. And he’s just being a guy. Some women today do not want to acknowledge the nature of MEN. Sadly, Leftist men have been so emasculated, they believe women don’t want to be persued. The natural behavior of men AND women has been redefined by the Left to the detriment of our relationships.

After we remove all the sexist classics, thank God we still have wholesome rap music to play around the holidays.

Why do sumo wrestlers shave their legs?

So they won’t be mistaken for feminists.
