One of The Rockettes has decided to speak out against being forced to perform at Donald Trumps inauguration on January 20, and the young dancer says she is embarrassed and disappointed by the whole thing. So sad.
Phoebe Pearl, a member of the long-legged Rockettes in New York City, has spoken out on her private Instagram about the devastation the dancers feel over having to perform at Donald Trumps inauguration on January 20. Phoebe posted a lengthy explanation of how heartbroken she is, and made sure to include the #NotMyPresident tag on her caption, released via TMZ.
I usually dont use social media to make a political stand but I feel overwhelmed with emotion, Phoebe wrote. Finding out that it has been decided for us that Rockettes will be performing at the Presidential inauguration makes me feel embarrassed and disappointed. The women I work with are intelligent and are full of love and the decision of performing for a man that stands for everything were against is appalling.
Phoebe continued, I am speaking just for me but please know that after we found out this news, we have been performing with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts. This is so heartbreaking to hear.
Sadly, Phoebes words seem to confirm reports that The Rockettes are being forced to perform at the inauguration. As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, the dancers allegedly received an email from their management explaining that their concerns were invalid and that full-time dancers were obligated to be there. How insane is that?
Kick and weep and kick and weep and kick!
She’s probably on the edge of being fired and this was her move to prevent it.
Same play as that crappy quarterback
She could quit. It’s a free country.
Wow, the insanity expecting your employees to show up for work. /s
The union official said part-timers could flake out but full-timers were expected to meet their obligation.
Part-timers are coiled up, waiting to pounce on a full-timers’ job that goes snowflake.
make her stay home
DC radio, WMAL (Rush flagship) has been reporting all day that the Rockettes’ performing is an individual, voluntary decision. No one is forced to participate (unlike ACA and abortion). The spokesman for the Rockettes said they have more ladies signed up to perform than they have spots.
Besides, that boorish behavior of Trump’s was when he was a democrat.
Fire the unprofessional malcontent.
No one is listening slut; no one cares.
She’s a H->8ter.
This stuff is just a relabeled West Texas product.
You use it when you fall off your horse, skid your ass across a bunch of dry desert and pick up a couple of dog-cholla in your butt. Not sure that the stuff really works, but you can smell it from a 1/2 mile away.
And he likes scantily yet elaborately clad females shaking their bodies and kicking their high heeled legs in the air in unison just as much as the next red blooded American.
Is this woman morally outraged by the societal objectification of women or not?
The Rockettes should excuse Phoebe and then mail her her final check. Simple solution.
There is something wrong with a generation that thinks life is about only doing what you like.
The Madison Square Garden organization that runs (apparently) Radio City Music Hall and the Rockettes said it was NOT mandatory, was fully voluntary, and had more Rockettes sign up than they have room for.
This woman is clearly not thinking. Her career as a Rockette is limited and, like Trump or not, this will probably be her only opportunity to perform in a presidential Inaugural event. Others obviously understand that honor.
Thank God nobody asked this poor snowflake to bake a cake or something...
Poor little pathetic leftist. Boo-boo.
Then don’t bother showing up, Phoebe. We don’t need you.
Stay in your safe space.
Does she think she can go through life only performing for people she agrees with?
She’s already performed for many people she wouldn’t like politically and/or otherwise, and she will again.
Idiot.
