It didn't take long for Putin to back down.
Putin also comes off as a very astute observer of the US political scene.
It is a game for devoted, committed patriots on both sides. Not for a halfrican Muslim with destruction of his own supposed country in mind.
That thought occurred to me as well. Amazing that he is smarter about US Politics then 100% of US "Journalists".
I don’t think Putin “backed down.” I think his comment was a “probe” to which Trump answered satisfactorily. It was a good opening move and just might set the tone of future “play.”
We need to remember that Russia is not the same as the old USSR. All nations are going to act in their own best interests unless they are deliberately sabotaged from within which has occurred in the U.S. with the Obama administration.
I’d rather deal with Russia than the Chinese. The Asian mind is different. MacArthur knew that.
