Most the of Millennials i work with are job jumpers and are lazy. Some do work hard but most are looking for the next best thing.

Nobody ever made America great by doing email.

You can’t be job jumpers and lazy. There is nothing wrong with looking for something better.

These work martyrs also don’t mind chatting endlessly or skyping with friends during those supposedly productive 50 hours.

What are you talking about? Email is an essential part of any job. It’s just a communication vehicle. I work out of my home at times just responding and writing emails. That’s what business is to some.. communication and nurturing relationships. I can’t believe some of you are belittling this article. This is a GOOD thing for the future of America. Yeesh.

My 20 year-old daughter interned at my company last summer.
Her manager said she was more productive and had better attention to detail than any of the 6 full-time members of the permanent staff.
There are good and bad in every generation.

It seems they keep a job from 6 months to a year and book. Not like the old days when my grandpa worked for a company for 30 years.

Title should read: Most millenials are lazy, some are workaholics.

Every generation when young; was always said to not measure up to past generations.
This one is likely no different and will do just fine on the long run.

But it really hasn’t been that way for a long time because of the mobile society.

Yes workaholics. That’s why 40% of them are still living with their parents.

That was true in my twenties as well. Most of it happened because it was the only way to get a dec nt raise

Steady activity doesn’t necessarily equal productivity.
To: BlueYonder
Yeah, I notice a lot of the younger folks at work seem to think endless meetings and email chains are “work”, when they are generally just distractions from getting real work done.

Companies these days show very little loyalty to employees either and generally provide little in the form of longer-term incentives. It's not 1970 anymore where you can work 25-30 years and get a pension.
Certainly some criticisms are justified - this is hardly one of them.
