What's to loom? The law is the law and Trump's here to enforce it.

Let's see, Trump controls allocation of funds (with GOP controlled congress) to those cities and can shut them off if they do not comply. And in return the cities can ... fund their own pet projects and welfare giveaways?

Some showdown.

“The law is the law”
They should be arrested and use Asset Forfeiture Laws on them.

I am actually hoping that this gets a lot more confrontational.

Texas GOP Rep. John Culberson says federal law prohibits local and state law enforcement from refusing to share immigration status information with federal authorities. He believes the law will give Trump the power to follow through in denying funds to sanctuary cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

Why stop at cutting off their funds? They are violating federal law. Arrest & jail them until there is a bail hearing. When a few have to personally pay a bondsman to get out until their court date, the rest will change their tune. When the first one is convicted and sentenced to real prison time, they will stampede to turn in illegals.

Plus, isn't harboring a criminal an offense in and of itself? Every one of these sanctuary city mayors should be arrested for that crime as well.

Trump works long days, is reputed to only sleep four hours per night, and doesn’t drink.

He might go to the inauguration, followed by a bunch of balls and ceremonies - and then head home for several hours of signing documents.

When the sun rises the day after, we could see a storm of policy changes hit on many fronts.

So exciting...

In California we have the University and State Universities acting like sanctuary locations. Trump should stop research and study funds and stop federally insured student loans. No money no spine.

I agree.

Trump's mantra for the next year should be: "Rule of Law"

Trey Gowdy, Rudy, and all the rest should admonish the press by saying: "It's the law, dammit!"

Most of the big money goes to the States, but if President Trump halts any money on day one, he will have their attention.

Then the monkey is on their backs to get the policy changed (could take years). Meanwhile, he could sick the Justice Department on them with investigations and prosecutions.

And then case by case, he could tweet out how screwed up the mayors are, using their taxpayers’ money to keep individual “poster boy” violent criminals loose on the streets to prey on those same taxpayers.

There is a lot that could be done, that would be great politics, as well as effective in changing policy. You can always find another good cause to spend whatever money the sanctuary cities forfeit.

Yup. I would arrest the Mayors and the Governors of those cities and states harboring criminals.

They want a confrontation. If the Trump team slowly reduces federal aid, one item at a time, until their budgets are squawking, they will fold. If they go to a full fledged crach and die scenario, the cowardly GOP Congress will help them out.

Universities are notoriously dependent on Federal funds.

Let's start cracking some!

I’m sure that San Francisco residents will happily make up for the lost federal revenue with a massive local tax hike.

There is also the “slow pay” method to already congressionaly allocated funds as well as a refusal to consider any federal grant applications for any entity in the entire state of California. He is never going to win CA in 2020 by doing what every other RINO has done since Reagan.

Excellent! More homeless due to trickle-down poverty. Frisco (they hate that) is becoming a master-slave enterprise.

Chicago is the number one city for bed-bug infestation.

Bed -bugs are typically found in warm weather climates such as Mexico and South American countries.

Thanks to Call and Rahm this city in an epidemic of diseases long eradicated.
Whooping cough is another gift to Chicago brought to us by third world infestation.

Anyone visiting chitown who brings anything back to their nest is asking for it. You've been warned.

To quote Theo from Die Hard: "oh my goodness, and the quarterback IS TOAST!"

President elect Trump, and those within key leadership positions in his new "adult run" administration, along with ICE and many within law enforcement will have no compunction about enforcing existing immigration laws, removing ALL FEDERAL FUNDS ASAP, as well as enforcing further sevear penalties upon the cities, states along with governmental authorities who refuse to obey and enforce the law concerning illegal aliens.

Legally prosecute them, throw them in jail, make some solid "examples" as to what will happen to those who still want to defy the law and maintain their criminal "sanctuary cities" and you will see how quickly these snowflake pajama boys and girls "get with the program".
