(CNN)Police are searching for the gunman who shot and killed a toddler during an apparent road rage incident in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Investigators are offering a $40,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person who shot 3-year-old Acen King.
The toddler was on a shopping trip with his grandmother over the weekend when the gunman opened fire, police said. The incident began Saturday evening when a motorist behind the grandmother grew agitated that she was not moving quickly enough at a stop sign, Little Rock Police Department spokesman Lt. Steven McClanahan said.
The man started honking his horn. The grandmother honked her horn. Then, police said, the man got out of his black Chevrolet Impala and fired into her car. "One shot was fired and it went through the vehicle and hit the child," McClanahan said. . .

Need to up the reward to 50,000.00 It will cause someone in the hood to drop a dime(now a quarter) on him in a heart beat.Thats a lot of Colt 45 and weed.
This guy will be caught soon.
She didn't think to report the road rage shooting right after it happened?
I'm assuming she had the presence of mind to identify the suspect as a black male and the suspect vehicle as a black Impala, you'd think she'd also have the presence of mind to know that he shot at her vehicle at the time. That seems like something you'd report to the police as soon as possible.
From the minute I heard this story I could not help but think there really is more to it than is being said.
Yes my BS meter agrees with you
From the article: Police said the grandmother and the slain boy had no relationship with the suspect. "I certainly have no information to say that anyone in this family has done anything to cost this young person's life," Little Rock Police Department Chief Kenton Buckner told CNN affiliate KARK.
I think the police smell something, too.
I wonder how much life insurance they had on the kid.
Also, if they were on a shopping trip, you would think there would be other shoppers who witnessed this. Where are they?
Shouldn’t they be looking for the “senseless gun” that is responsible for the violence?

The perp needs the death sentence and it needs to be administered quickly.
She did the deed
In my experience, getting life insurance on kids is a poverty class move. It is chilling. Not saying that happened here.
There is something not quite right with this story.
I’m not sure exactly what, but something...
A news article for those people wondering why we should have the death penalty.
She did the deed
Yep. Or another family member she tried to cover for.
My heart does not grieve for this little Angel, he is in heaven....My heart does yearn for some Medieval justice being meted out to anyone who harms a child.
The process should be initiated quickly. The punishment should take a week or more. I'm available if the PTB are lacking for volunteers.
How far did you have to search for that?
I could not find it in the Clinton Not News story.
When I heard the story (repeatedly) and the race or description of the murderer wasn't mentioned, I KNEW he wasn't white.
There’s a lesson here. Never honk back at someone, you don’t know their mental condition or what they’re on.
I’ve seen this story reported 4 or 5 times now and not once have they mentioned the race of suspect or a description.
So since they didn’t say white hate crime and talk about Trump I assumed it was a black guy. Of course, it could have been a white Hispanic.
PC standards must be observed even if it puts the public in danger.
I’ve seen local bank robbery stories not mention race, “The bank on Main Street was just robbed by 2 men. Call police if you spot them.”
That’s it. Apparently the gender PC crowd hasn’t clamped down on them offending non binary gender identify people with their perp descriptions.
